In a design made to complement RED Touch 7" monitors, the GG70 GlareGuard from Ocean Video unfolds and neatly wraps around the monitor, and it magnetically attaches at select points via rare-earth magnets that provide a simple on/off solution. It's designed to fit standard-size RED Touch 7" monitors, including the DSMC/DSMC2 Touch 7.0" DSMC2 7.0" Touch LCD Carbon Fiber, RED PRO Touch 7", and more. Made of rubberized elastomer, the GG70 GlareGuard is flexible yet durable, and with no fasteners used, it mounts on in a trim form to provide glare protection in outdoor shooting environments. When ready to be packed away, it folds flat for easy storage.

Q: 4. Will this fit the Neewer 7" HDMI monitor?

A: This hood is designed specifically for TVLogic 7" Camera Monitors. However it connects through an elastic band which we believe will work on a Neewer 7" monitor as well.

Q: 5. We bought it and tried installing it on the Red Ultra Bright monitor, but it does not fit. The top screw holes of the sun guard are not aligned with the monitor screw holes and the sun guard seems too small. Are we missing something because in the item description it is said that it fit the Red Ultra Bright monitor?

A: The Ocean Video GG70 GlareGuard Sun Hood for RED Touch 7" Monitors. Is not compatible with the 7” ultra bright monitor it has different mounting holes so the original Glare Guard 7” monitor shade doesn’t fit. Currently there is no solution from Ocean Video.

Q: 6. SmallHD says this isn't compatible with Cine 7 monitors purchased after Nov 2020. Is this correct? Wet changed in the Cine 7 that would make it incompatible? Thanks :)

A: This SmallHD Sun Hood for Smart 7 Series Monitors , is Not compatible with CINE 7 or 702 Touch purchased after November 1st 2020.

Q: 7. Will this work with RED / small HD Touch 7.0" LCD dsmc3?

A: The SmallRig Monitor Cage with Sun Hood for SmallHD 702 Touch is compatible with the SmallHD 702 Touch and the SmallHD 702 Touch Bolt monitors.

Q: 8. Does this hood work with the atomos shogun?

A: We will introduce a hood for the Atomos Shogun in 4 weeks at NAB.

Q: 9. Does this cage also work with SmalHD Cine 7?

A: No, They have significant different dimensions in height width and depth.

Q: 10. does it work on 702?

A: Yes. The following unit is designed and made for Indie 7, Cine 7, or 702.

The glareguard helps protects my camera’s LCD and cut out unwanted flares while filming outdoors. It now makes my work easier and faster 5

It was difficult for me filming with my Blackmagic P4K camera outdoors , until I bought the Ocean video glareguard. I can now see the LCD screen brightly and get the right focus 5

Have used other monitors that would never stay put if you doing any sort of handheld work or even tilts or pans. If you touched them slightly you would have to try and re-attach. Glareguard locks on with magnets that hold firm, yet the hood is easy to remove. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!! 5
