Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this product works with 200 and 300 lenses?

A: This product comes with an extra sleeve, that fits on to the 500mm or 600mm or 800mm lens hoods. If you do not use that, then the rest of the rain cover fits 300mm very well, but will be a bit big for the 200mm lenses. Lenscoat has a smaller version of the same rain cover, which fits the 200 and 300mm lenses perfectly. Im very happy with this product for my canon 600mm lens. Worth every penny. :)

Q: 2. Will the raincoat work with a side mounted gimbal?

A: Yes the LensCoat RainCoat Pro can be used with a side mounted gimbal.

Q: 3. What is the difference between the RainCoat Pro (Realtree Max4) and the RainCoat Pro (Realtree Max5)?

A: The following units are one in the same. Only difference is the camo pattern they come in.

Q: 4. Does it work with the canon 600mm f4 lens and the canon r5 with the battery grip and gimbal head on tripod

A: Yes, the LensCoat RainCoat Pro (Realtree Max5) can accept a Canon EOS R5 with a battery grip and the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 5. Is this long enough for the canon 600mm f4?

A: Yes, the LensCoat RainCoat Pro is long enough for a Canon EF 600mm f/4 lens.

Q: 6. Will this work with a D810 and a Nikon 200-500 lens

A: It should work fine I have a Tamron 200-500 with room to spare

Q: 7. is it long enough for a canon 400mm f5.6 lens with hood fully extended and 1.4 extender and extension tubes added ( approximately 18 inches in length )?

A: Yes, the RainCoat Standard is 20 in length and will fit your setup. It is designed for the 400mm f/5.6 lens.

Q: 8. Is this the right size for fitting the Tamron 150-600?

A: Yes this Rain Coat will work perfect with the Tamron 150-600mm Lens.

Q: 9. Is it difficult to change lens on body in rain with lenscoat raincoat attached to the camera body ?

A: Yes, it could be awkward.

Q: 10. Is there a way to use a camera flash (shoe mounted) with the lenscoat raincoat pro? I have canon film slr - eos 3 and canon speedlite 550 ex flash. thanks

A: Hi Sanjay, in reference to you question about the raincoat pro...it does not have an opening for the hotshow, but there are ways to shot with the raincoat on.One way would be to pull the raincoat around the flash. This would leave the flash exposed and a small portion of your camera on the back side of the flash.Another way would be to turn the faincoat so that the sleave is facing up and you could slide the sleave down over the flash and use the pullstring to cinch it on the flash so that only the end of the flash is exposed. This option should give you what you are looking for while keeping your equipment dry.Hope this helps.

Not wanting to use an umbrella attached to a tripod, and having not been able to fashion a piece of gear myself, this is a perfect addition to my landscape and wildlife kit. It is KISS designed, which is perfect for me, and really does a fine job of protecting my camera and lenses. I use this when shooting static from a tripod and have even used it handheld in a boat. Perfect.

Taking any photo where there is a danger from water, blowing debri, or the danger of scratching a lens or camera.

I needed something GOOD to protect my Canon 70-200L f2.8 IS II, with and without the extender, and my 400L prime...in wet weather situations, including foggy morns. And, beyond that, I wanted to lessen the impact of the camera body and attached putty white lens while in natural surroundings. Since I wear muted colors or camo top to bottom in most nature locations, it only made sense to get a top quality product for the costly end of the photography experience. This RainCoat STANDARD camo sleeve has met all of my expectations to date and there have been a few nasty ones. I haven't given it the test in driving snow yet. That's simply not in my plans at this point. But, powdery light snow... absolutely. Just know, this product is soft, has ample room for up to the 400L prime WITH camera body attached, doesn't impede use of a tripod, attaches quickly with proper sized velcro straps, and can be fitted as snuggly as you want. The side sleeve opening for your shutter hand is long enough for easy camera operation in wet weather. It comes in a camo pouch of good quality so it can be repacked and stored wherever you want. Would highly recommend that you fit it to your equipment set-up a time or two in comfy surroundings before REALLY needing it in a quickly changing outdoor setting.

Used to cover camera & lens when shooting in wet locations! It does really well at keeping lens & camera dry. Haven't found any negatives to it yet!

I was recently out capturing images of birds from a boat, with rain and spray. I was using a two for $9 clear plastic rain guard...that did not work well The camera and lens stil got wet and it was difficult to gain access to the controls, as well as see through the view finder without allowing the rain and spray to get in. The RAINCOAT solved all of these problems. Thanks LensCoat for a great product! Watch the YouTube videos to see how simple and functional this product is

I own several rain covers but will be using this one for the majority of my foul weather shooting. This rain cover is easy to use, goes on quickly, and give me all the access I need. The material in nice and soft and very quiet. I use it with 14-24,24-70,70-200,80-400.

I've used the raincoat 3 times since my purchase, on a Nikon 300mm lens and on a Tamron 150-600 lens. Easy on/off..stays on.. yes the fabric bunches up a bit on the Tamron zooming in and out, but nothing that couldn't be handled. I would buy this and other Lenscoat Raincoats and and will recommend them to my peers.

I traveled to heavy snow on the east coast and used on 100-400m lens. Works best when fully extended. On shorter lens it gets a bit bulky with extra material scruntched up but the idea is to protect the camera at any cost so it does do that. The accessory industry has not yet figured out that velcro fasteners make a lot of noise so if you're shooting wildlife at any reasonable distance, adjusting anything that has a velcro strap is impossible. So the cover needs to be in place the way you want it before you shoot!
