Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with either of my Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 or FZ2500?

A: Yes it should. This stabilizer supports cameras that weigh up to 6.6 pounds. It should work well with those Panasonic cameras.

Q: 2. You guys buy used equipment

A: We do have a department that purchases used equipment. Please visit the following web link to find out more. https://bhpho.to/2TiNEFY

Q: 3. Can I use this unit with my Canon XA30?

A: The YELANGU Handheld Stabilizer will be compatible with the Canon XA30.

Q: 4. can i use with my Panasonic Lumix gh4?

A: Yes, this is designed to work with DSLR and Mirrorless style cameras. It has a load capacity up to 6.6 pounds. It should work well with the GH4.

Q: 5. Is working with Canon Vixia HF M41? Thank You!

A: You can mount and balance the Canon Vixia HF M41 on this stabilizer.

Q: 6. Can I use a manfrotto 501 plate (already on my cameras) on this stabilizer out of the box or do I need to buy a separate adapter plate?

A: That is not possible out of the box. However you can purchase the Manfrotto 577 Rapid Connect Adapter with Sliding Mounting Plate (501PL), B&H # MA577, to use the 501PL plate on this stabilizer. https://bhpho.to/2mRIakh

Q: 7. would a Pansonic AG-CX350 balance well on this unit? The weight is 4.19lbs, I assume the heavier the better it handles on stabilization?

A: This has a 6.6 pound load capacity, so it is possible. However we would tend to recommend something like the B&H # FLCMRK for a camcorder the size of the CX350. You will have better results with this we feel. https://bhpho.to/3m6Vw9a

Q: 8. Can I use this with Sony a6000?

A: You can use this with the Sony a6000, but you will not be able to use the weights that come with the S60T. Instead, purchase some washers at a hardware store in a variety of thicknesses and use those as weights. That is what I did in order to use my Nikon D3300.

Q: 9. Will it work with Panasonic G6 and 14-42 kit lens? Is my camera too light for this steadicam?

A: This should work with the Panasonic G7 using a 14-42mm lens, B&H # PADMCG7KB. It has removable counter weights on the bottom, you can have less weights on the gimbal to balance a lighter set up.

Q: 10. Can i use this with my Sony RX10 II bridge camera?

A: Yes, we believe this Handheld DSLR Camera Stabilizer will also work with a Point and Shoot camera like the Sony RX10 II.

i still prefer the freedom of using the oldschool stabilizer than the electronic gimbals.

Going in to this purchase I knew that there would be a learning curve using a camera stabilizer. I viewed many videos and read reviews on camera stabilizers from the GlideCams to much lower priced options. Just starting out a video production company so money is tight. The Yelangu stabilizer has a smooth axis rotation in all directions on the gimbal/ handle. Weights are adjustable on the base and the shaft has a quick release extend for counterbalance. I'm using a Nikon D7500 DSLR with an 18-55 lens. Whether you decide to get this one or something more expensive, do yourself a huge favor and watch videos on how to set up any stabilizer. I had it balanced in about 10 minutes, however, I had watched an hour or more of vids to learn. So far, I find it very smooth. You will need to master the duck walk and your body is part of the shock absorbing system. The camera rotates freely on the shaft so you will need to learn the feather touch to guide the camera. This would be true with an $800 GlideCam as well. Overall build quality seems solid however some of the plastic parts wouldn't hold up to abuse. The storage bag is lightweight and I expect the zipper to stop working, but no big deal since I have moved the stabilizer into a better case with storage for the extra weights. If you are someone who takes care of their gear, then this could be a great addition to your kit.

Although I have only used this rig twice since it arrived I am very impressed. Setup was easy. The action is incredibly smooth. This is a great rig for shooting dynamically.

The headline pretty much says it all. I use it for that disconnected, floaty shot that usually eliminates any footprint that might come with a handheld. Read the manual, look up the tutorial, and practice with it. It'll serve as a fair tool.

This seems like a great stabilizer so far. I've only used it a few times but it works as expected creating smooth walking or running shots that is a great improvement over the shoulder rig I was using. Because it's a very stripped down stabilizer that lacks the fine tuning features of the other Glidecam products, it is pretty time consuming to stabilize the first time. I would definitely recommend using a light stand (or something similar) to rest the rig on while stabilizing. I added a quick release plate with bubble levels which also greatly helps. It takes a good bit of practice to use well, but that's all stabilizers. For the price, an incredible stabilizer. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
