This 72mm Wide Angle Adapter Ring for 4 x 4" Filter Holder from Formatt Hitech is used to fit the filter holder and screw onto the desired lens, therefore getting the effect of the filter that was slid into the holder.

The adapter ring places the holder millimeters closer to the lens not to cause any vignetting on the wide-angle lens. Hitech's rings are milled from aluminum in the United Kingdom.

Lee is one of if not the best in terms of filters. The design of their wide angle adapter rings is outstanding. If you use the leaf filter system you need a few of these in the sizes for the lenses that you're going to use. Just get the appropriate ones that you need. If you're not using wide angle lenses perhaps get the regular ones due to the lower cost. 5

Very nicely made, works well and does what it says on the tin. Little bit heavy and seems a bit expensive for what it is, especially compared to the non-WA version, but if you need it... 5

I'm a long-time user of the Lee system and have items from the last century that you just can't get anymore which is to say, the system is built to last and these rings are no exception. It feels solid in your hand and threads on easily. If you like to shoot wide, and I do, then these W/A rings are a must. 5

Very solid construction and typical Lee quality. It does vignette a little when used at extreme wide angle such as 10mm, but I have not noticed any problems after about 12 mm. 5
