When you attach a tripod quick release plate to the camera base, you can no longer open the battery access door, which houses the memory card slot as well. The problem is that the small body of this camera has the location of the tripod mount screw thread too close to the battery access door. Therefore, memory card and battery changes require full disassembly of any camera rig gear. The one we purchased ran out of battery life within 30 min. The same thing happened when we put in a new battery. We sent it in for repair to the manufacturer and it was replaced within a week.
