This Quick Release System for Select Camera Tripods from ALZO adds a compact quick release system to tripods with a small-diameter center column and screw plate. The bottom of the plate features a 1/4"-20 screw mount for connecting to a tripod, and this system uses a Snap Lock to prevent the accidental release of the camera. The plate attaches to any camera with a 1/4"-20 connection, and the unit is also compatible with the separately available Flip Flash Bracket.

A: Currently, SHAPE does not offer such a system. The main purpose of this Touch and Go plate is to be able to swap from a tripod head to another application and adding a rod system to it would conflict with the baseplate. Since we want this unit to be compatible with as many tripod heads as possible, it would be hard to average a rod system without conflicting with the height of the baseplate

A: Unfortunately, no, it is not. The Sunpak Quick Release Plate for Select Tripods, B&H # SUQRU757, was the correct quick release plate for the Sunpak Ultra 7500TM Tripod/Monopod. Unfortunately, the tripod and the quick release plate have been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. The Sunpak 5200D Quick Release Plate, B&H # SU5200DQRP, was the next closest item that was compatible, but unfortunately, it also was discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.
