The Duplex Socket and Diffuser from ALZO puts out twice as much light as the basic ALZO drum light, accepting 8 light bulbs, including large LED and CFL bulbs. Each socket assembly has its own power cord, so a ceiling power connection for 2 cords must be arranged. If wired with A-B switched power lines, these sockets can allow for selectable color temperature or full/half power. With 8 bulbs, the light generates 3400+ lux at 3.2' below the light. The diffuser (drum) collapses into a 14" disk with a zippered jacket.

A: No, the ALZO sparks light will only adapt to lens with the following thread sizes 49, 52, 55mm. And no longer available system was announced discontinued.

A: Yes this will work very well. If the room is small, you may have too much light with all the bulbs installed. The light can be easily adjusted by distance to the subject and number of bulbs in each fixture. I have been very pleased with this unit. Lots of good light, at around 5200K as I recall. Very well constructed and should give years of good service.

Q: 3. I have a promaster 6" reflector that came with light tent. Is this the correct bulb for that?

A: Currently we do not stock any Promatser products. So we can not try it out. However it really appears the bulbs will work just fine in your fixture.

A: They are not special. Youll want to get the CFLs though. Otherwise itll run way too hot.

A: Unfortunately, this fixture is not dimmable since it uses self-ballasted fluorescent lamps.

A: Like most fluorescent lamps the, ALZO CFL Photo Light Bulb (85W, 120V) does not work with dimmers.

A: If your question relates to re-dedicating the stand to hole another fixture , then the answer is yes. I don't have the gear handy to measure, but tripods/stands have various stud diameters and I'd look at the Impact product specification to get the size. From there, you can see if your fixture will mate onto that stud.If you look closely at the thumb nut on the bottom of the fixture, this is the means of tightening it onto the stud.
