Benro Tsl08an00 Slim Aluminum-alloy Tripod With Ball Head

$254.85 $346.60

This TSL08AN00 Slim Aluminum-Alloy Tripod from Benro supports up to 8.8 lb and includes an Arca-type ball head with quick release plate. Designed to conserve space during storage and transport, the tripod measures 20.1" long and 3.2" wide when folded. Its 4-section legs each feature an independent spread, a 3-position angle lock, half-turn twist locks for rapid deployment, and a rubber foot to enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces. Together, the three legs can be extended and spread to raise the tripod from a minimum height of 15.7" to a maximum height of 48.4" or 57.6" with its push-and-pull, rapid center column fully raised.

Cameras, lenses, or sport optics that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the included quick release plate. The quick release plate can be attached or removed from the integrated, Arca-type clamp located at the top of the head's ball-and-socket joint by tightening or loosening the clamp's knurled, locking knob. While the top of the quick release plate features a rubberized, non-slip platform, dual retaining screws are provided along its underside. Those retaining screws help prevent the quick release plate and an attached camera from accidentally sliding off when the clamp it is placed on is opened.

By loosening the ball head's primary locking knob, the head's ball-and-socket joint can be quickly swiveled, angled, fully tilted, or returned to its upright position. Additionally, the primary locking knob controls the ability to pan the head 360°. For added versatility, the tripod's center column is reversible, facilitating low-angle photography where an attached camera is positioned among the tripod's legs instead of above them.

A nylon, drawstring bag is provided for storage and transport.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the leg lock in a partially extended state or must it be fully extended to lock?

A: Hi yes I am almost positive it can lock partially extended. I have only used it fully extended and in locked position. Hands down a well built Monopod! - Drew

Q: 2. Will this work with a Cannon rebel t6?

A: Yes it will. This tripod will work very well with the Canon Rebel T6.

Q: 3. What monopods are compatible with the benro vt2?

A: I contacted Benro USA with your inquiry. Benro USA states that any tripod/monopod with a 3/8 threaded foot will accept the VT2 foot. Not all Benro tripods/monopods use 3/8 feet, as some have glue-in feet or some use M8 screw-in feet. There has been over a hundred different model tripod/monopods made by Benro, and unfortunately, they do not have a Compatibility Chart listing all tripods/monopods compatible for use with the VT2 foot. If you have an inquiry about a particular tripod/monopod, you may either check the Specifications or Accessories tabs on our website, or you may contact us at prophoto@bhphoto.com and we can try to assist you with the inquiry for the specific tripod/monopod you are interested in purchasing.

Q: 4. Can you shoot down for flat lay photography or do you need an arm?

A: The tripod does not have a column that goes horizontal. The center column is reversible, facilitating low-angle photography where an attached camera is positioned among the tripod's legs instead of above them. If the object is large you will need to use a tripod arm. This is a link for some of them, https://bhpho.to/3nabqRy

Q: 5. I have a Peak Design Capture Plate on my camera. Is that plate compatible with with Tripod?

A: Yes! :) Both Peak Design and this tripod use the arca-swiss system.

Q: 6. I have a Peak Design Capture plate on my camera. Is this tripod compatible with that plate?

A: Yes! :) Both Peak Design and this tripod use the arca-swiss system.

Q: 7. Its mentioned for mirror less cameras? Can i use it for my canon 700d

A: Absolutely, I use it with my Nikon d750 and a 3.5lb Lens with no stability issues

Q: 8. I'm looking to change ball heads, any idea what size I need?

A: Depends on what your setup. It uses a standard 3/8 thread for the head mount so it can accept any standard tripod head. Just know that the legs can only handle so much weight and a bigger head means more bulk. The one it comes with is pretty capable. It has worked with my 70-200/2.8 on a 5D2 when I needed it in a pinch.

Q: 9. Is the folded length 12.6 or 18.5 ?

A: This tripod is 12.6 in length once folded.

Q: 10. Where can I find replacement stops for this tripod?

A: You can use the following replacement leg stops for Benro TSL08CN00 Slim Carbon-Fiber Tripod with Ball Head. Opens and closes very quickly once you get the hang of it. I use a Manfrotto attachment and this arrangement offers good support for my somewhat heavy Bronica etrsi film camera.

Only have used it once! But it is so much better then the one I had. Great leg adjustments and it is sturdy. Does not break the bank.

I purchased this little guy for a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park for use with my Olympus E-M1 II / E-M10 II bodies and assortment of lenses. This tripod exceeded my expectations, particularly the included ball head. No sag whatsoever even with my E-M1 II and 12-40 2.8 Pro or the PanLeica 100-400.

Perfect for traveling with a smaller format kit.

I am going to use this for travel. First off, I've wasted so much money looking for the right travel tripod & I believe I've finally found it. I had previously purchased the Mefoto Air Roadtrip, which I liked the small, light weight size however the Mefotos head has a panning knob and I could never get it to tighten so because of that the camera would easily move if I bumped it. I saw this tripod & it's basically the same concept & style but with a few differences. The head is removable, the panning tightens, it just feels sturdier, the legs tighten better without collapsing. In my opinion, It's just 100% better than the Mefoto. So if your looking at the Mefoto Airs, I would suggest getting this one instead. I Absolutely LOVE this tripod.

This is a well constructed product, feels very sturdy and yet not that heavy to carry around. Folds up very compact.

I needed a small tripod for hiking: I'm 64, hike in mountains and haul a DSLR w/ 80-200 and 2 other wider zooms. Weight is a real concern as I also carry water & emergency gear. The tripod must be sturdy and I looked at a LOT of them. I honestly prefer flip-lock legs and would've selected one if it had the same advantages of weight, capacity and price.

I haven't used it yet, but I am enthused. This is a very rugged, very light tripod. The small Benro head is also very nice. I'm thinking about changing it, but I'll give it a chance. It's very light - probably the real limitation on capacity?

The twist lock legs aren't so bad. They're a bit like old HP calculator buttons - you can feel the contact. To lock, there's a resistance increase and then a firm, but predictable, short hard twist to complete refusal where it's locked. If it ever dumps my camera, I'll have a different view, of course. After locking a lock, give it a 'test'. 3 locks on the alum model means 9 tests, which take more time. (A flip is just flipped - duh.) To unlock, there are two resistances.

With head rolled over, it's exactly 19.0" long - a 'longer, more narrow package than the models that fold shorter and wider. It's 3-1/4" at the widest. I can pack this narower geometry better.

The leg angle adjustments are clean, easy. Three Benro tabs pull out to allow a leg angle change - much easier to operate than my big Manfrotto's (which I love, but cannot haul around very far).

The center column locking ring for added extention, which I'll try not to use, has a two-big tab design that would help greatly in cold weather with cold hands. Nice touch.

I appreciate the spring-connected weight hook on the center column, which I'll probably use.

I'm pretty impressed with this thing. B&H had it here in a couple days.

I own 3 tripods carbon fiber (Gitzos Series 2, 3) and Slik 2. I bought this kit (tripod/head) because of the new design (the column packed upside down) to make it more compact. combined with the Benro B2 ballhead, this is the best travel tripod on the market so far, because the legs are solid, as well as the ballhead. I use it with my Fuji GFX 50R, Fotodiox Adaper and Nikon 24 mm f3.5 tilt shift without any compromise. The only advice to shooters is to use gloves in winter, since aluminium transmits coldness, like happens these days.

I've only had this tripod a short time but it does everything I want. It adjusts quickly to uneven terrain and expands and collapses easily.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. I have a Benro Mach 3 tripod w/B 4 Ballhead that has served me well so I know I can trust Benro. More importantly, I know I can trust B&H Photo. My daughter tells me she's very happy with her new tripod!!
