I didn't purchase this thumbs up from bhp but am adding my review here since the reviews on this site made me try out the ep-1r2. I concur with previous reviewer, Kathryn. This is the best thumb grip there is for the rx1rm2 and is excellent in combination with the fotodiox hand grip. Continues to keep the overall camera profile small but adds more surfaces and curves to latch on to. The imaging capabilities of the rx1r ii are extraordinary but it doesn't offer much tactile pleasure. The ep-1r2 is very well made and designed, making the camera more fun to use as well. 5

I love this grip. I got it along with the fotidiox pro metal hand grip and they make all the difference in the world. Once I got the hand grip I thought I might not need the thumb grip. Both together really balance the camera and prevent any shake. It's costly but I take load of pictures and comfort is a must for me. 5

This is an outstanding piece of machining. I'm extremely happy with this. Form the minute you slide it into the shoe it's very apparent that this is a masterfully created item. It blows the sony thumbsup, and the offbrand ones out of the water. This is a ThumbsUp Product, so do a little googling to see that it's the go-to choice for the very picky leica crowd. 5

The thumbs up grip is small and ergonomically provides a great way to hold the camera securely with a bit looser hold that makes working with the camera more relaxing. Combine this with a comfortable wrist strap and I think that for this camera it is the ideal shooting combination. 5

Not only is this $100+ cheaper than the Sony grip, it just works better! Unlike the Sony grip, you still have full access to all controls. It also looks way better on the camera. I've tried a half dozen front hand grips and this makes way more of a difference. Combine this with the stellated stick on grip and you have one heck of a comfortable shooting experience. 5
