This beige, compact Microphone Madness MM-PSM Pro Series Omnidirectional Earset Mic delivers clear spoken-word and vocal reproduction for presenters and performers working in music, theatrical, broadcast, house of worship, lecture, and presentation settings. It comes with a TA4F connector that plugs into select Shure bodypack transmitters.
The MM-PSM Pro Series earset features a 3mm capsule mounted on a short 3.4' boom that can be discreetly positioned away from the mouth for an unobtrusive fit. The earset can be worn on either the left or right ear and feels natural when used for extended periods of time. The extremely flexible boom is virtually unbreakable.
The capsule delivers full-frequency (20 Hz to 20 kHz) audio performance and high gain before feedback for detailed speech intelligibility. The 145 dB of dynamic range makes this mic well suited for loud vocal performances in houses of worship and on the musical stage. The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern offers enhanced plosive protection with no proximity effect for a natural sound.
All MM-PSM Pro Series microphones are made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does this come with a bag or case?
A: No it does not include a case. In the Box: Microphone Madness MM-MSLM Omnidirectional MatchStick Lapel Microphone (Black) Windscreen Limited 1-Year Warranty Suggestion: Pelican 1010 Micro Case (Clear Yellow with Colored Lining) B&H # PE1010MCCY - https://bhpho.to/2FCYS0T
Q: 2. What are people using to mount these, and to minimize clothing noise?
A: It's really more about where you are mounting these rather than about what you are mounting it with.I use basic Rycote Undercovers as the sticky element and then I find a dead spot under the subject's clothing.
Q: 3. What is the main difference between the Shure TL47 and TL48?
A: The main difference between the Shure TwinPlex TL48 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone and the Shure TwinPlex TL47 is the mid-high frequency boost incorporated into the TL48 capsule's frequency response. The TL47 also has interchangeable "flat" and "presence" frequency caps for different responses. The TL48 is the most speech-oriented model of the TwinPlex line.
Q: 4. Does this mic require phantom power?
A: The Shure TwinPlex TL48 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone requires only 5V, but to enable connection with an XLR input, the Shure RPM400TQG Wired TwinPlex Microphone Preamp is included, which does require phantom power to activate, but it does not allow phantom power to be passed through to the mic. The RPM400TQG converts phantom power to the proper amount of voltage that the mic requires.
Q: 5. Are there certain settings you'd use this mic with the zoom H1, for a wedding?
A: I've used .wav format, 48khz 24 bit, lo cut off, and auto level off settings with a Zoom H1 with this mic to record wedding ceremonies and had good success. You'll have to play with the input level because each shooting scenario will vary but I always normalize in post with Adobe Audition anyway. Keep in mind this mic will only record the voice of the person it's attached to.
Q: 6. This version states that the connector is compatible with shure ta4f .But i see a ta3f in picture closeup.which is it?
A: The Polsen ESM-2 Dual-Sided Earsets Microphone headsets are available in a few different configurations. The ESM-2-TA4Fconfiguration has the TA4F connector for compatibility with Shure wireless transmitters. On the pictured closeup view of the connector, you might have overlooked the hole in the center, which is not there on a TA3f connector.
Q: 7. Looking at this, the Countyman B6 and the Sanken COS-11D for a documentary I'm doing for a hospital in a small African country this summer. I know the B6 and 11D are highly regarded, but given the $ and my need for 2-3 mics while paying for them out-of-pocket, I want to find the best bang-for-buck without sacrificing a lot in sound quality. My big question before trying it is, how is the self-noise and handling-noise on this unit? Thx in advance.
A: The Microphone Madness MM-MSLM is an excellent microphone for the money, relatively quiet, and not too bad on the handling noise. You may want to pick up some hush lav quieting sleeves (used with the sanken lavs) to better isolate the microphone from rustling noise. Also, please not the microphone requires power via bias voltage; 1 to 9 VDC.
Q: 8. How does this compare to Countryman EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for Digital Recorders?
A: The Countryman is going to have a bit more high frequency clarity, and can also handle much higher SPL.
Q: 9. Can this mic be used with the Polsen UWM-2 transmitter?
A: Yes, the Polsen ESM-2-35H Dual-Sided Earset Microphone is compatible with the Polsen UWM-2 Transmitters.
Q: 10. can I used this with the saramonic wireless transmitter receiver system?
A: Yes you can.
