This beige, compact Microphone Madness MM-PSM Pro Series Omnidirectional Earset Mic delivers clear spoken-word and vocal reproduction for presenters and performers working in music, theatrical, broadcast, house of worship, lecture, and presentation settings. It comes with a Locking 3.5mm TRS connector that plugs into select Sennheiser bodypack transmitters.

The MM-PSM Pro Series earset features a 3mm capsule mounted on a short 3.4' boom that can be discreetly positioned away from the mouth for an unobtrusive fit. The earset can be worn on either the left or right ear and feels natural when used for extended periods of time. The extremely flexible boom is virtually unbreakable.

The capsule delivers full-frequency (20 Hz to 20 kHz) audio performance and high gain before feedback for detailed speech intelligibility. The 145 dB of dynamic range makes this mic well suited for loud vocal performances in houses of worship and on the musical stage. The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern offers enhanced plosive protection with no proximity effect for a natural sound.

All MM-PSM Pro Series microphones are made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This MKE2 is giving me distortion even though my levels are far from clipping. I got this mic with the Sennheiser AVX bundle and recently shot a training video. My levels peaked around -24 to -12db, however, during playback I can hear high frequencies distort. It gets much noticeable once I process the audio and raise the level. I normally record straight into camera and also into an external recorder with this lav mic, however this issue keeps recurring. Why does this mic keep distorting my sound? Any help or tips would definitely be appreciated!

A: There are a number of things to consider when trying to source the cause of distortion. The question is where is the distortion occurring? Is the mic element overloading due to high SPL, or is the transmitter clipping because of improper gain staging? If the receiver is outputting line level and the input on the camera or recorder is set to mic, that may be the cause. Also, the gain settings on the preamp of the recording device needs to be set accordingly as it is a major part of the audio chain as well.

Q: 2. The UPC listed is for the ME2, but further down the page you show "ME2-II". Which is the product for sale?

A: This item is the second generation version of the Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector, otherwise known as the Sennheiser ME 2-II

Q: 3. Does this work with Rode Wireless Go II or the DJI mic?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (Black) is fully compatible with the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder (2.4 GHz, Black) and the DJI Mic 2 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz) wireless systems.

Q: 4. Is the DK3A compatible with the Blink 500 pro? If not can you recommend a premium level product that is.

Q: 5. Can you use this with a MixPre 3 II recorder? Else is there another preferred wired lav?

A: It is not recommended to connect a lapel microphone directly to the 3.5mm Aux/Mic input on the Sound Devices MixPre-3 II. The Saramonic DK3A Premium Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone could, however, be connected to the XLR inputs on the MixPre-3 II using an XLR adapter that converts phantom power such as the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (BH #ROVXLRP): https://bhpho.to/3JrNPql

Q: 6. What is the optimal transmitter / receiver for the MKE 2 Gold ?

A: The Sennheiser EK 100 G4 receiver & Sennheiser SK 100 G4 transmitter would be the ideal compatible solutions to use with the MKE 2 Gold. You can also use the Sennheiser SK AVX Digital Bodypack Transmitter & Sennheiser AVX EKP Camera-Mount Plug-In Receiver with the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold.

Q: 7. Can you remove the windshield protector?

Q: 8. If i use Me 2 mic with Sennheiser EW100 G3, will it improve audio quality?

A: It depends on which microphone you are currently using with your Sennheiser EW 100 G3 Wireless Microphone System. It is difficult to be able to provide any information for comparison to the Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone without knowing which microphone you are currently using and what type of application the wireless system is being used for.
