Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a digital recorder or a VIXIA 82 camcorder?

A: thank you for your question. This will work with the Vixia 82 an with any audio recorder that has a stereo mic input and can provide plug in power.

Q: 2. Dumb question, would this work if I plugged this into an average aux port?

A: Whether you are referencing an Aux In port or an Aux Out port it will not work because mic signal is much lowerl than line level signal like from a headphone output for example. Because of that, the ESM-1-MN would only be compatible with a microphone input.

Q: 3. Good afternoonI have an old Sony-urx-p1-utx-b1 kit, but has lost my lavalier.Does this Azden lavalier work on my kit?RegardsJonny PedersenThe Steadicam Operaotr

A: It is very unlikely the Azden EX-503 will work with your UTX-B1. The connector on the Sony transmitter is a locking 3.5mm screw connector. The Azden is not, also the wiring may be different. The lav normally used as a replacement would be the Sony ECM-77BMP.

Q: 4. I'm wondering if I bend it to be used on the other ear if the microphone will break? It's currently set up for the left ear.

A: The boom on the Polsen ESM-1-35H Single-Sided Earset Microphone is flexible and adjustable, so it should not break if you bend it to curve for use on the right ear.

Q: 5. Could this be used with a Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS female to XLR male adapter with phantom power converter to use it as a wired mic?

A: Yes, the Polsen ESM-1-35H Single-Sided Earset Microphone for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H # POESM135H) can be used with the RODE VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) in order to connect it to a wired XLR microphone input. As another option, you could use the similar Polsen ESM-1-MN Single-Sided Earset Microphone for Recorders and Wireless Transmitters (B&H # POESM1MN) for connection to a standard 3.5mm TRS mic input with plug-in power. Either version of the earset mic can be used with the VXLR+ adapter for connection to an XLR mic input. The difference between the two models is that the version for Sennheiser transmitters has a locking 3.5mm connector and the version for recorders has a standard non-locking 3.5mm connector.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Zoom h1?

A: I have used this product with the zoom H6 only, and it works well.I am not sure about the zoom h1. If there is a connection on the device, it should work just fine.

Q: 7. Is the ear frame flexible? (Can the circular part be shaped, or will it snap?)

A: Yes. The single-sided earclip on the Polsen ESM-1-TA4 easily conforms to your ear and holds the mic in place for active applications such as fitness, mobile journalism, house of worship, and more.

Q: 8. is this microphone compatible with the "Azden WLX-PRO+i VHF wireless microphone system for cameras & mobile devices"?

A: Yes, the HS-9 microphone is fully compatible with the WLX-PRO+i wireless system.

Q: 9. Will this ear piece work with the Shure BLX1 J10 wireless transmitter?

A: Yes, The Polson ESM-A-TA4 will work with the Sony BLX transmitters,

Q: 10. Can this be plugged into a Sennheiser transmitter? The Sennheiser has a three contact 1/8inch connector, this has only two contacts. Anyone do this already? Thanks!

A: I can't really comment on Sennheiser's equipment, however, if the transmitter has a 3 contact mini-jack, it could be for a balanced connection. If this is the case, it is possible that the 2 contact plug on the EX-503L would work, it just would not be balanced.
