Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

A: The LumiQuest Mini Lighting Kit (B&H # LUMK) is designed to diffuse the spread of light from both a hot shoe flash and a DSLR's cameras built-in flash. The issue with macro photography is the minimum focus distance required for macro photography usage needs, as well as the physical length of the lens, as a long lens can block light emitted from a built-in flash or a camera-mounted flash. As we cannot estimate the spread of light from the LumiQuest Mini Lighting Kit, while the kit may be helpful, we cannot guarantee it would be a perfect solution for macro photography usage needs. However, it would be a good option for portraiture, standard photography or (some) wide angle photography usage needs.

Q: 7. What is the tungsten equivalent output? Is it powerful enough as a key light for stills photography?

A: The actual measured tungsten equivalent is about the same as 400W fresnel light. To put this into perspective it means when compared to common 300W fixtures the Practilite602 is little bit more powerful. For example common tungsten fresnel @ 300W outputs 2500lx in flood and 6500lx in spot whereas Practilite602 outputs 3100lx and 10000lx, not to mention it outputs about 15000lx in Boost Mode @ 4500K.If it is enough as a key light it depends on the subject matter, the scene and of course on the sensitivity you are willing to use: the smaller the scene the more light will you have, as for normal portraiture it will do fine but remember if you add a softbox/chimera you will lose half the light output which can be compensated by moving the light closer to the subject, if possible. As this light is focusable you are able to direct and shape the light without any additional modifiers.

Q: 8. What's a good flat primer brand to use before applying this paint?

A: Any primer will do I would only suggest that it is a flat based paint.

Q: 9. How many screws are in each pack?

A: The Kondor Blue 1/4"-20 Screw for Mini Quick Release Plates (Long) is a single screw.

A: From what we have seen, this light emitting from this fresnel would be hard enough when used with a wood or cello cookie.

I use this windscreen with an EV RE-16 microphone (it's an exact fit). It is very effective--with this windscreen, the RE-16 is almost immune to P-pops, even when used an inch from the mouth, but high frequency response is affected very little. 5

Fits the EV RE50 workhorse handheld mic used by most all News Crews. Its a tight fit on the mic. So tight you might tear the windscreen if your not careful. It looks smart and adds to the mics built in windscreen properties. I only take it off when it rains because it really soaks up the water when you get it wet. I have two of these and with heavy use in the field I started to see chunks of foam missing after 4 months of use. I am trying to get thru the year without buying two more. I just have the reporter rotate the mic to the pretty side that doesn't have any foam missing for any liveshots. Functionally, this windscreen cuts out the wind very well and background noise as well. I go thru the cheap windscreens like gum...they are junk. 5

I have an old original EV PL 76A electret condenser microphone. It is still one of the best sounding, small diaphragm, condenser microphones from the early 70's. Originally it had an internal foam pop filter built into the inside of the protective grille cover over the diaphragm element. Over the years this foam filter dried out and fell apart. I use this microphone quite a bit for voiceover work and I needed to replace the foam. I looked everywhere for a replacement. I finally checked B&H for generic pop filters. I was surprised to see that B&H actually had the large over the outside grey pop filter made by EV as an accessory for this microphone. I bought it immediately. It fits perfectly, looks great, the price was right and does exactly what a wind screen/pop filter is supposed to do. Thanks B&H for always having what I need. 5

Used on an RE50/B stick mic: This windscreen fits my mic like a glove and saves the need for additional gaff tape/electrical tape to hold it on. Definitely a bit more pricey than a normal windscreen, but having a more tailor-fitted unit that performs at a high level makes it well worth it in professional settings. Haven't had any reporters manage to get my mic to pop yet with this filter and wind reduction is top notch. 5

I purchased the 376 Windscreen/Pop filter to go on my EV DS-35 that I have had since the late 60s, and has been in daily use ever since. I wanted to add the Pop filer to the mike. And so far, after two weeks I satisfied with how it looks, making the DS-35 look even more professional and helping when I get right up on the mike while recording voice-overs. Completely Satisfied. 5

This product worked perfectly on my prehistoric EV PL76A mic. Very easy to install, and the wind/pop filter works great! No discernible impact on sound quality, and it's not an enormous blob on the end of the mic. I would have liked to have seen an actual scale picture prior to my purchase, so here's one for others to see what it looks like in situ. 5
