They did not require proof of purchase or any fussing around. They just believe you,and they said the anchors should arrive in 2-3 days. The site gives you enough information to figure out what version you have. I'd say just go for it. This is a really well-designed cuff, and they say that even the V3 anchors are fine if you are using the triangle loop on the camera, as opposed to directly attaching the anchor to the camera. It's that sharp edge on the metal hole that was causing some problems.
