Peak Design Leash Camera Strap (ash Gray)

Peak Design Leash Camera Strap (ash Gray)

  • Availability: In Stock

$134.85 $164.52

This Leash Camera Strap in gray, from Peak Design has anchor links so you can quickly and easily detach a connected camera, to move it to a tripod, or connect another camera to the strap. Each anchor link is rated to hold 200 pounds and creates a durable, snap-in or snap-out connection point to the strap eyelet on a wide variety of cameras. The strap is 0.8" wide and has an adjustable 32.6 to 57.1" length. Integrated adjustment loops allow you to quickly adjust the length while in use.

Constructed with twist-resistant nylon and leather webbing, you can use it as a neck, shoulder, or cross-body strap whether you are right- or left-handed, draped from one shoulder to the opposing hip. When used along with an anchor link, the included anchor mount creates a connection point using the camera's 1/4"-20 bottom accessory thread. By attaching the leash along the bottom accessory thread and using one strap eyelet instead of two, your camera can be made to consistently face forward while against your hip, reducing the time needed to raise it to your eye to capture the shot.

Q: 5. Is the Peak leash strong enough for a Sony RX10 IV or would the Peak slide lite be a better choice?

A: Yes, it will hold the RX10 IV with no problem.

Q: 6. Will this fit eyelets on a Fuji XT30?

A: Thanks for reaching out! We are aware of this issue regarding our Anchors and smaller cameras like the Fuji XT30. There are a few point-and-shoot and compact-mirrorless camera models whose strap attachments are too small for the cord on our Anchors. We've identified a couple of solutions to the issue: - Try and thread it through with tweezers, pliers, or Dental floss-- which works surprisingly well!. This will work on some cameras with slightly larger eyelets. - If your eyelet is still too small, try using a small split ring to connect the Micro Anchor to the eyelet. Your camera should have come with these or you can get them from a local hardware store or from Amazon. Attach the ring to the eyelet, and then attach the Micro Anchor to the ring. Obviously, neither of these are great long-term solutions. We're currently looking at ways we can make our Micro Anchor cords skinnier while retaining the same strength and flexibility. We're also considering making custom split rings made especially for this purpose. But in the meantime hopefully one of these solutions will work for you.

Q: 7. Is the anchor cord of the Leash version any thinner than the Lite version? I found that the latter doesn't fit in the Sony A7C camera lug without using the optional ring.

A: It isn't any thinner than the Lite version.

Q: 8. Does the new design of the strap (thank you for the tripod socket base plate - very innovative!) also include a non-skid strap?

A: The new version of our Leash will not have any non-skid grip on it like our Slide and SlideLITE.

Q: 9. Are the edges of the metal buckles well smoothed to minimize camera scratching?

A: If you mean rounded, yes, they should not scratch the camera body.

Q: 10. Anyone recommend this strap for Nikon D750 camera? Thanks!

A: This strap is too narrow for my D750, especially if I have a heavier lens. For D750 I use the wider version: Peak Design SL-BK-3 Slide Camera Strap. I do own the narrow grey strap referenced, used on my small Fuji x100F, love it.

I've been a fan of Peak Design's products from the company's Kickstarter beginning in 2010. Always pushing the envelope for the optimum design/function/durability combination, Peter Dering and his San Francisco team have delivered again. I like their attitude, I like their designs, I like their product videos...and I really like this strap!

I already had a Peak Design leash but the wrist strap works better when I carry my camera in a backpack. Feels comfortable and very well made.

I have used this on both my compact camera, as well as my Nikon DSLR, and it is really easy to use. It is also extremely comfortable yet secure, so I never feel that it is too tight or too short/long. I'm really glad I got this.

This has been the best cuff I've ever used on any camera. It's secure and holds onto my wrist without effort, and is easy to wear as a bracelet when the camera goes back in the bag. Highly recommended.

Après avoir utilisé pendant longtemps une courroie au cou, j'apprécie vraiment l'utilisation d'une courroie au poignet. L'attache est vraiment facile à utiliser et cette dernière peut être utiliser pour une courroie au cou...très beau design

A fellow photographer showed me her Peak Design wrist strap and I was surprised at how much better the materials of construction were than the first generation one I bought a couple years ago. Like the color as it matches my ash strap from Peak Design. The magnet to hold it rolled up is also a nice touch.
