This LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Lens Adapter is designed to allow a separately available SW150 Mark II Filter Holder to connect to a Sigma 12-24mm f/4 DG HSM Art lens, which then permits the use of 150mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters without vignetting.

This lens adapter consists of three components: a front ring, a compression ring, and a locking ring. Placement of the lens adapter onto the lens is easily accomplished by sliding the front ring over the built-in hood with the front ring's integrated lugs positioned away from the lens body. The compression ring can then be slid over the rear of the lens until it meets the front ring. Finally, the locking ring is also slid over the rear of the lens until it can be screwed into the front ring. After that is accomplished, an SW150 Mark II Holder can be placed over the adapter from the front of the lens for use.

Due to the possible existence of slight variations in lens construction, the following information should be viewed as a general guide and not exacting specifications.

A: Unfortunately, we do not have carry a filter adapter for the Sigma 12-24mm f/4 at this time. It might take some time for an option to hit the market.

Q: 2. The lens cap no longer fits once the adapter is fitted. Neither the adapter or filter holder comes with a lens cap and I cannot find one. What is used to protect the lens with the adapter in place?

A: I cannot speak directly to the Canon lens, as I use a Nikon 14-24. If they're similar, I can tell you that on the Nikon, Lee provided a neoprene sock for lack of a better word. It fits snugly, and actually does a better job of keeping dust off the lens glass. Also, the lens cap provided by Nikon does still fit, barely. However, I added a piece of gaffers tape to the rim of the lens cap, making it fit more snugly, and that holds the original lens cap nicely. So for me, I have two ways that work. Ultimately, I use both simultaneously. The neoprene sock certainly will not protect the lens glass from ANY kind of impact. I've seen some videos where people are frustrated that they have to choose one or the other. Nonsense! I simply places the hard lens cap inside the neoprene sock and place over my lens. Best of both worlds. In fact, I ordered an extra sock for my other 14-24, as added dust protection. They work great! Hopefully, your Canon will have similar success!

A: For shooting real estate, I would go with the 12-24mm, always better to have the capability of a wider lens when you need it.
