Vision Exchange lets presenters and lecturers easily share information, with the freedom to move around the teaching space in a truly active learning environment. Information can be shared from teacher to student, student to teacher, or through active collaboration with workgroup sharing.
Vision Exchange is created for today's BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) classrooms and lecture theaters. Students can work collaboratively in small independent workgroups or clusters, creating content with their own tablets, laptops and smartphones to share wirelessly with other group members, workgroups and lecturers.
Lecturers can enhance their presentations with easy-to-use annotation tools: draw and sketch to emphasize what's on screen, or bring up the whiteboard with handy digital tags.
Vision Exchange provides a dynamic and flexible solution to suit any teaching space. It's easy and cost effective to expand Vision Exchange by adding further active workgroup 'pods'.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. that riser for the camera looks rather tiny. Can someone clear up how much weight that bar can support? I've JVC shoulder cameras that probably weigh 15 pounds with cables and battery hooked up.
A: We have a Sony a7s with a 24-105 lens on it. It seems pretty sturdy and I think it could hold more weight without a problem...that said, the riser is too low for most cameras. I met with the manufacturer and they acknowledged that it was a common problem. Our solution was to put a fluid head on top of the riser and then mount the camera on that. It's good at prompting but it never does feel too stable when the camera is on it. It don't get the impression that it will ever fall off, but it doesn't lock tight without a bit of wiggle.
Q: 2. can it display anything on the monitor? If I wanted to put a video game on there would it work?
A: the monitor will accept any signal sent from the following HDMI DVI VGA Composite as long as your video signal is sent with one of these it will work
Q: 3. Two questions:1) Does it keep the text in the middle of the screen so the eyes stay focused in the center and can this be adjusted via the software. Basically we don't want darting eyes as they read the top corner when the camera is focused in the middle of the glass.2) Can text be enlarged or shrunk pending on conditions? Thank you
A: Thank you to all who answered this. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.
Q: 4. Does the monitor invert the signal so it's right-reading off the mirror or do you need a separate signal inverter?
A: The MagiCue software allows you to flip the text so that it can be read comfortably by the talent. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.
Q: 5. How is the monitor powered and is the power source included?
A: AC adapter comes with it.
Q: 6. I am using the mouse roller to scroll the text. It is not smooth. How can the text be scrolled smoothly?
A: other mouse style USB controllers such as a touch pad may also be use to scroll through the text
Q: 7. Can the kit be used as a standalone on a c-stand, with the camera on a tripod?
A: There actually IS a way to take off the camera platform so you could scoot a tripod up to the back, but it would make the front part VERY unbalanced, so it is not recommended. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.
Q: 8. The talent monitor does not match the computer monitor. How can that be achieved?
A: you can adjust your computer display setting to match the prompter monitor settings
Q: 9. How would I power this in the field?
A: The MagiCue Studio 17 Prompter is AC powered. Therefore you will have to use a gasoline generator with a long cord or a car battery power inverter. B&H has inverters that work off car batteries. See below for an example. In this light, you might consider using an iPad teleprompter.
Q: 10. Is there a way to purchase the case by itself? I purchased the prompter 6 months ago and at the time it did not came with a case
A: So that we can see if we can order the case by itself, please email us with your contact information. provideo@bhphoto.com.
