This 300mm Anamorphic/i Prime Lens features the classic, natural yet sharp "Cooke look" in an anamorphic format. One of Cooke's extensive Anamorphic/i series, the 300mm prime incorporates an 11-blade iris for cinematic-looking, 2:1 oval bokeh. Designed for use with both digital cinema and film cameras, the Cooke Anamorphic/i primes provide a 2x squeeze and cover image formats up to Super35. For maximum optical performance, aberration, flare, and distortion correction extend over the entire image area, and throughout the 300mm's T3.5-22 aperture range. The Anamorphic/i primes are color-matched with Cooke's S4/i, 5/i, and mini S4/i series of prime lenses.

Each Anamorphic/i prime sports both a hardened PL mount and a cable connection that uses Cooke's /i Technology to transmit lens data to compatible cameras. Lens setting data including focal length, aperture, focus, and depth-of-field, are provided in both feet and metric measurements.

The 300mm Anamorphic/i Prime Lens features a 8' 6" minimum focus distance, focus marks in feet and meters, a relatively light weight of 20.5 lb, and a compact length of 14.9". The lens is constructed with 0.8 MOD geared focus and iris rings for use with follow focus, zoom control, and wireless FIZ systems. A large lens barrel, an increased number of focus marks, and Cooke's cam-style focus movement enable precise focus pulls. Focus marks are clearly visible and engraved on the lens barrel in both feet and meters.

Q: 6. Is there a 65mm Sigma Art version with autofocus?

Q: 7. Is there a photo version? Sigma Art 65mm EF? With AF etc

A: There is no photography version in EF mount of the Sigma 65mm ART lens.

Q: 8. Will this lens be able to handle both the sensor size of a RED Epic-w and it's 8k resolution?

A: The Fujinon XK20-120mm T3.5 Cabrio covers 24.84 x 13.97 mm/diagonal: 28.5mm or Super35. This is the same size format that has been a Hollywood standard for over 80 years. Moving on to the the RED Epic-W. It's 8K sensor measures 29.90 mm x 15.77 mm/ diagonal: 33.80 mm. That diagonal is too big for the Cabrio and is not an industry standard; so look for full frame lenses that are set to cover a diagonal of 41-43mm. If you wish a full full frame lens you could consider this set: Tokina Cinema ATX 16-28mm T3 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens for Canon EF B&H # TOTC168C and Tokina Cinema 50-135mm T3.0 with Canon EF Mount B&H # TOTC535C. If money is not a problem, Zeiss steps up with this set: Zeiss CZ.2 Set #3 Two PL Mount Zoom Lens Bundle of 28-80 and 70-200 with Swappable Canon Mounts, Cases (Feet) B&H # ZECZ2LS3

Q: 9. Which Sigma hard case does the 65mm fit?

A: It would work with the Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses. If you own the five lens set you would need to remove one lens to fit the additional 65mm lens. Also you could use the following case to store extra lenses like the 65mm or the lens you remove from PMC-002 to fit the 65mm. Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case with Foam Set (Black) B&H # PE1510FB

Q: 10. Is the lens hood included?

A: No, sorry, the lens hood is extra. Fujinon has choice of two hoods they say will work with both lenses. They appear to be the same. Fujinon Lens Hood for 19-90mm and 85-300mm Cabrio Lens B&H # FUHS304B114 and Fujinon Lens Hood for 14-35mm Cabrio Lens B&H # FULHCL.
