Q: 1. Is the angle of the stand adjustable? I'm looking to put an iPad in keyboard case on it (with the screen vertical), and the angle of the keyboard is not adjustable.

A: The laptop tray on the PLPTS55 can be turned left and right or raised up higher, but the angle of the tray is not adjustable.

A: The monitor does not have a native portrait mode. You can purchase a VESA mount which will allow you to rotate the monitor and can change the orientation to portrait mode if your OS has this feature.

A: You can take the upper pole out of the base - this will make it 19 , but it will be in 2 pieces (top pole with the platform & the base with the folded up legs) A word of caution - I have 2 of these, and on each one, when you take the pole out of the base there is a small plastic bushing type thing that falls out! If you loose this piece then there is no way to tighten the upper pole into the base anymore... so be careful! It took 2 weeks to finally track down the part from PYLE and convince them that this is a design flaw. -- I hope this helps.
