Q: 1. Can I use this to show only 2 video sources in a 2 boxes layout without showing all 4 sources?

A: The Decimator DMON-Quad can be used to show any number of windows from 1-4 and the windows can be arranged in custom layouts to give you control over how they are positioned.

Q: 2. Hello, does the card support audio on all 4 channels simultaneously? My focus is on live mixing / capturing sound together with video over the same hdmi input. Thank you.

A: Hi, did a quick test and can confirm it can do audio on at least 2 channels at the same time no problem. I'd have to hook up some other hardware to test all 4 - but I'd bet that it can. It can certainly do all 4 video at once (I've tested that in the past - but didn't test the audio)

Q: 3. Does anyone know if this device will de-embed audio when using this as a SDI to HDMI converter? I know there are smaller/cheaper products that do this but I like the versatility of having a multiviewer as well.

A: Hi Andrew, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The DMON-Quad will pass embedded audio from any of the four inputs to both SDI and HDMI outputs. When in multi-viewer mode, you can select which input's audio is passed to the outputs. When viewing an input as full-screen the audio from that input is passed. It does not have a separate audio only output. Q: 4. Can this card be used for seamless operation as a live camera when using Zoom, Skype, Cisco Webex, etc? I've got the Blackmagic Decklink but some programs don't recognize the card - can get video and no audio or it works fine. I'm looking for a card that can reliably work with the live networks. A: Magewell lists this card as compatible with both Zoom and Skype. They do not list WebEx though.

Q: 5. Is this a one time fee? Would there be any annual renewal or maintenance charges required in addition to the price? Is this the fee for a school district or individual?

A: It is a one time cost with no additional fees. If you are buying for a school, please contact the B&H EDU department for pricing.

Q: 6. Could this be used as a mini switcher? Needing to be able to go between two inputs using the buttons on the decimator without any break in signal to the output.

A: No. That would not be recommended, as this is not wired like a proper switcher and you will more than likely have a break in signal when switching from one source to the other.

Q: 7. Where can I buy the mounting plate...any sort of mounting option really?

A: Mounting plates come with the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer, when you purchase it. Mounting plates for Decimator products are unavailable separately at this time.

Q: 8. Does this work with Macbook Pro 2019 models? Also, is it compatible with OBS and/or Qlab software?
