A: No the height cannot be adjusted with this modular system.

A: The Yamaha CD-S3000 has 2 physical inputs and 2 physical outputs. I do not know why Yamaha designed the CD-S3000 with 2 channels specifically.

A: The exterior dimensions of the Ultimate Support MDS-100 are 5.5 x 7.8 x 18.8". The clamping width range without the divider is 6.4 to 16.0" and the range per side with the divider is 2.8 to 7.6". It holds a single device up to approximately 16" wide or two devices that are each up to 7.6" wide.

The cost to excellent light modification ratio is excellent. I found the umbrella frame inside and the light stand to be sturdy enough. Had it all together and ready for action in minutes. Wish the umbrella adapter was a little more flexible...besides just a hot shoe at top...but it's a kit and I choose it for the savings, overall..totally pleased. 5

Although I've not used other soft boxes, I can't compare it to others. I like that it's based on the umbrella frame. It pops open easily without having to build and attach a speedring like other systems. The flash is mounted inside and facing the back of the soft box which gives a nice soft light. I believe you loose 1- 1 1/2 stops of light. For the most part, I've been able to use my speedlite at half power with relatively good success and results. The front baffle uses velcro to close and makes it easy to access your speedlite and make adjustments when necessary. The bottom opening uses zippers to seal the softbox. Although you can use a standard light stand, you're limited as to how much you can angle down the softbox. I would recommend that you have a boom arm or a light stand that has an extension arm that will allow you to angle the top portion. It'll give you more flexibility in adjusting the angle and positioning. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of the build, ease of setup, portability and quality of light. I would definitely recommend this or the 50 (my next purchase) to anyone doing location shoots. If you're in a studio, the ease of setup may not be an issue. I don't think you can purchase a better softbox at this price point. 5

I use it for engagement photos outdoors and some indoor. Beautiful light. Made a bracket to use two speedlights and it doe's a GREAT job. Well made and will be looking at ordering the 50in in the near future. If you've been thinking about getting one--DO IT!!! 5

Sturdy, portable, and nice soft lighting. This makes it easier for me to travel by plane without lugging my larger strobes around. I just pack my apollo and a speedlight and I am all set to go. 5
