The Paterson Changing Bag is an essential piece of equipment for your darkroom. It is one of the most simple items to use and can potentially save you from losing a roll of jammed film stuck inside a camera.

Packaging Info
Package Weight1.45 lb
Box Dimensions (LxWxH)8.5 x 8.1 x 2.9"

Having a changing bag means a jammed or partly exposed film roll can be safely removed from the camera, shooting can continue, and your film can be loaded into a developing tank without having to find a darkroom.

It has a fail-safe double skin with a double zip closure. The inner lining is specially designed to prevent perspiration during prolonged use.

The Paterson changing bag is small enough to fit in a camera bag, yet large enough to contain a fully-opened camera back or a roll of film that needs to be loaded into a tank.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this bag large enough to work in conjunction with the Stearman sp8x10 developing tank/tray?

A: It is only large enough for film changing. For processing you would need this tent: https://bhpho.to/3cmY8xg

Q: 2. Will this bag (MBAG70N) fit a Manfrotto 190X 3 Section Aluminum Tripod with XPRO Fluid Head?

A: I can't check my Manfrotto tripod model at the moment, but I know that this bag is too short for it by several inches. You might ask the B&H folks if they have its dimensions.

Q: 3. Is the inside of the bag dust free?

A: The amount of dust depends on how the bag is stored.

Q: 4. Will this bag fit a manfrotto 190 go tripod?

A: I don't know about the 190,I have a 294 with a 496 ball head that fits very well. Compare the 190 and 294 dimensions to see how the 190 will fit.

Q: 5. Hello, i would like to buy manfroto tripod 645 fast what is suitable bag for this tripod, thanks

A: The Manfrotto Unpadded Tripod Bag (Black, 31.5") is a good carry bag for the Manfrotto 645 FAST Twin Leg Video Tripod with Ultra L-Lock Mechanism (Carbon Fiber).

Q: 6. Is this bag large enough to use in conjunction with the Stearman sp 8x10 developing tank/tray?

A: Yes, the Harrison Film Changing Bag (Large)(36x36") listed above should be compatible and large enough for use with the Stearman Press SP-8 x 10 Daylight Processing Tray.

Q: 7. My interest in this bag is for changing lenses on my a6300; is it spacious enough for this? ( a 12mm and a 16-70 )

A: Yes, totally. :)

Q: 8. is this fabric or plastic?

A: This is a double layer fabric material. The zipper is plastic. There is a flap over the zipper that is secured by velcro.

Q: 9. How small does the changing bag fold down to? And does support itself open with some type of flex frame or just lay flat?

A: It folds to about 12 x 10 . Then you roll it into an included bag that is about 13 x 4 . This is a flat bag, it is not the famous Harrison tent. I used flat bags like this for years and they are fine even with large 35mm 1000 magazines. However, if you are on a job that is 16mm or 35mm film and you will be doing hundreds of rolls, get the Harrison tent. You will thank yourself.

Q: 10. Will this bag fit a Manfrotto MT190XPR04 tripod with a Manfrotto MVH502AH head?

A: it's pretty tight actually... I have a 501hdv head on it and I am not able to zip it all of the way, due to the shape of the head. It's designed for smaller heads. GREAT stix, love them, and use the 90 degree turn a lot too!

Arm elastic is really tight and I'm sure that's a good thing. Otherwise, very dense bag with good pliability for use. I can get several film holders, 4x5, and a box of film in there with enough room.

It took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, and once I had done some considerable practicing, I have had no problems with using this little boxed darkroom. I flop it on my desk, load it from the bottom, zip and flap it closed, stick m;y arms into the tight arm holes, and fiddle away blind. It does the job admirably!

Kind of tight on my fat arms but I know no light is getting it. Lots of room for all the tools and film. Does what it needs to.
