The Magewell Eco Capture HDMI 4K M.2 Card allows you to connect an HDMI source to your computer and capture up to DCI 4K 4096 x 2160 resolution with embedded audio. Featuring an M.2 (PCIe 2.0) computer interface, this card provides the flexibility to be used in compact/thin tablet computers and other small form factor PCs where PCIe slots may be at a minimum. It's compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and is capable of operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while an LED indicator confirms the working state of the input the entire time (idle, input signal locked, memory failed, or FPGA configuration).

The Eco Capture HDMI 4K M.2 Card also offers many processing and other features, including resolution scaling and a high-fidelity pipeline. The card has a native JST SHD input connector and comes with a matching SHD to HDMI type A adapter cable for connecting your HDMI signal.

A: Yes it does. This capture device will record up to 4096xx2160 on your computer.

Q: 2. How this works with Nvidia GTX 680?. My card works in PCI 3.0. and if I fill mini PCI slot it will be connect?

A: This combination is unknown. However, we feel that the Magewell Pro Capture HDMI Card (1-Channel) is compatible with the Nvidia GTX 680.

Q: 3. How do you cable manage the input cable/s? Is there a breakout interface or something to harness the SDI or HDMI cable that have to connect externally?

A: The needed adapters are included. The SDI model of this Capture Card includes two MMCX to BNC Adapter Cables. While the Dual HDMI Mode, B&H # MA11510, will come with a pair of JST SHD to HDMI Type A Adapter Cables.

A: yes this is an HDMI capture card and will allow you to use your camera as webcam as long the computer app you are using supports it

A: this is a PCIE expansion card and will work on any computer that supports PCIE expansion cards as long as the computer has slots available.

Q: 8. The USB cable included with this device is very short. What type A to type C cables are compatible with this device. Up until now the only cable I can find that will allow the card to be recognized by my 2019 MacBook Pro is the cable that was included with the card. Even though other cards seem to match the required specifications the device does not power on and is not recognized by the computer.

A: I am sorry to say that Magewell advises to please use the included Magewell USB 3.0 cable, which is a custom accessory. Using any other similar cable might cause capture problems and even damage the capture device.

Q: 9. I want to input 1080 and output 720 without artifacts, which looks almost as good as original SD 720x480 recording?
