I was getting a bit of carpal tunnel from my mouse in my right hand. Got this trackball and set it up to use with my left hand. I now switch back and fourth between this and my mouse. Still training coordination but so far it's helping a lot. 5

It works exactly as intended. I got a trackball to try and make my environment more ergonomic and avoid RSI. It's too soon to tell if this will be a big improvement in that respect, but as a pointing device, it's fine. The scroll function is fantastic and totally intuitive after about twenty minutes. I have never used a trackball. It's taken about a week to get back most of my accuracy with a mouse, but I'm also 47 years old and that's to be expected. Some reviews complain about the buttons. They work fine and don't feel especially Cheap. The accurate mode is interesting, but I have an intuos tablet for fine work in Photoshop and other design programs, so it's more of a novetly for me. The software works well. I had to mess with the acceleration a little bit (27 mac monitor), but that's to be expected. I'm tempted to fire up Call of Duty and see how badly I do on it! Overall, if you want a finger ball, this one is well-made with good software. It won't replace an emotional void in your life, but as a piece of hardware it's great. 5

I've been using Kensington trackballs for about 16 years. I forget what they called the with one with the wheels but that was my first. I moved to expert mouse when optical technology came out. I still use an Expert Mouse wireless, an Expert Mouse, and now this SlimBlade. Believe me folks NOBODY makes a trackball as smooth as Kensington. I got this SlimBlade to use with my HP laptop because I just couldn't stand the products offered by Microsoft and Logitech. The SlimBlade has a unique way of scrolling by twisting the ball and after two weeks I see the death of the scroll wheel on the horizon - it's that intuitive. If you want a trackball save the money you'll waste on a MS or Logitech ball and pay the few dollars more for the Kensington. You won't go back. 5

graphic design,using 'adobe cs3, corel x5 and xara pro 5'using it in a 32 and 64 bit environment with hot key functions, does everything that the expert mouse does plus 2 more functions... SlimBlade does not come with installation disk and there are more than two versions, so match firmware with model no. on bottom of unit.. it's a quality product from 'kensington', and the best place to get it from is 'b&h photo', because of great pricing... 5

I have used a variety of trackballs for at least two decades. I am really impressed with the Kensington SlimBlade. The ball is the right size for fine graphics work and easy to control. The near switches work well for a mouse's right and left clicks, the top two buttons I have programmed for copy and paste functions. I thought I would not like scrolling with the ball as opposed to a wheel, but have found the ball easy to use and control, just spin it clockwise to go down the page. Overall this trackball is well made and very much worth the $ and B&H got it to me fast and well packed. 5

I was getting some carpal tunnel in my wrist from my regular mouse so I decided to try this trackball. I love it. I still use my mouse with my right hand and this with my left. I'm now ambidextrous now. 5
