Made especially for use with shoe-mount speedlights, the RapiDome with Grid and Stand Kit from Photoflex contains everything you need to maximize the performance of your on-camera flash. The kit includes a 25.5" RapiDome softbox, a 40-degree fabric grid, speedlight adaper with a stand mount, and a 6.5' light stand.

Featuring fast setup and breakdown similar to an umbrella, the RapiDome is an octagonal-shaped softbox with a silver interior for maximum output and removable front and interior diffusion to offer contrast options. Also provided, is a deflector that bounces the forward-projected light into the back of the RapiDome to further soften the light and eliminate hot spots. The softbox comes with a height-adjustable, rotatable, tilting speedlight adapter with a 5/8" receiver for light stands. A favorite of portrait and fashion shooters, the unique octagonal form factor has the wrap-around quality of light that is characteristic of this shape, with the bonus of creating natural-looking catchlights reflected in the eyes of a subject. An included 40-degree fabric grid that quickly attaches via touch fasteners is included to narrow the beam angle, while maintaining the RapiDome's soft light and creating dramatic effects. A: This grid is for Photoflex Litedome softboxes in the 16 x 22" size.

Q: 2. Will this work with the 3 foot profoto octa softbox?

A: You would need to ask Profoto. The Photoflex grid has velcro all along its outer edges. If the outer edge of the Profoto soft box accepts velcro attachments, then the Photoflex grid might work on it.

Q: 3. Is this will fit with my Broncolor 150cm softbox?

A: Unfortunately, this grid is not compatible with the Broncolor 150 cm softbox.

A: I use this for my large Photoflex softbox, it has the hook part of the hook and loop and fits just fine. If you move the defuser in just a bit you will have plenty of space to add the grid to the softbox. It does add more wait to the end of the softbox but it works well and stays in place.

Q: 5. Will this fit on a 40x40” frame? Does it have elastic bands on every corner?

A: The Photoflex Fabric Grid for Litepanel BH #PHLPFG3939 was designed for the Photoflex Litepanel that measures 39x39".

A: Yes, fits fine in a 5 Octodome

A: It is roughly 1.5 thick

Photoflex quality. I've only really tested as a beauty dish but it works extremely well. Love the fact that it folds up and the case is nice for on location work. I wish the flash bracket would allow the flash to move up just a hair. It's adjustable, but it's not going to work well with some flashes. But very happy with the quality. 5

I recently used the Rapidome on an outside portrait shoot and I'm absolutely satisfied with the images. It's really sturdy and very mobile to use outside and indoors. I am very happy with my purchase. 5

I looked at smaller speed light diffusers with smaller light surfaces and smaller package sizes, but I’m really glad I chose this product. The 26” lighting surface is big enough to get a larger soft fill light. It’s very light weight and easy for an assistant to tote around, or put on a light stand. 5

Making a gradual transition from studio style strobes to more flexible and portable speedlights on location, I wanted a portable softbox style modifier. This fills the bill perfectly. Not only is it quick to set up but it comes with a fold flat velcro grid for more focused light. The light is soft enough for directional food shots as well as on-site portraits. 5

I was considering the RapiDome and another similar soft box of a different brand. The RapiDome, being on sale, was considerably less but the other seemed to be built better from the pictures. I called and asked the sales rep for his opinion on the two. He told me that the RapiDome was much higher quality and definitely the one he would purchase. I ordered it and couldn't be happier. The quality of the light is great, very even and the build quality is really top shelf. So nice to be able to talk to knowledgeable people who will give you an honest opinion. 5
