A: Sounds like you are planning to use two step up rings - one 40.5 to 49, and one 49 to 82. I don't know of any reason why you couldn't do this physically. I use a 40.5mm to 49mm step up ring on my a6000 using the 16-15mm lens and have not experienced any vignetting. I would think the 82 step up would be wide enough not to cause vignetting.
