The Vanguard ALTA Pro 2 263AV Aluminum Tripod with ALTA PH-114V Head is a lightweight kit that comfortably supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 13.2 pounds. It folds to less than 27" in length for storage or transport. The system features a minimum height of less than 20", and extends to 54.5". At maximum height, you can extend the central column for an additional 13 inches of height.

The head incorporates a bubble level and pan handle rosettes on the left and right sides (only one handle is included). It features a tilt range of -45 to 90°, and 360° of pan. Three-section aluminum legs with twist locks make for a secure platform, and the non-slip feet enable using the tripod on both hard and soft surfaces.

I've been extremely impressed with the build quality of the Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AP. It's very sturdy even in windy conditions and I'm quite confident this will last me for many years. I'm really amazed at the number of features this tripod has in this price point as I compared this with many others costing hundreds of dollars more and after many hours of researching I kept coming back to this model.Very happy with this purchase. Would highly recommend this tripod. 5

Upon receiving my new Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ and PH-32 3-Way Pan and Tilt head I immediately began using in several different configurations. Changing positions from standard to boom was easy with smooth operation and stability was great given my heavy camera and zoom lens. Having two leveling bubbles, on the legs assembly and another on the pan head made leveling a much easier as I was able to fine tune the positioning without having to do it using the legs. A great buy. 5

They aren't joking when they say it will support an 11 pound camera. I through over 6 pounds of camera on it and it was as solid as a boulder. Both tilts and the swivel are buttery smooth. The center shaft fits tight, locks in solidly, and seems to have no flex. The detents on the legs are equally as solid. Everything about it is solid. It's not light, but if you need something that stays very planted with a lot of camera on top, this is worth every penny. 5
