The LED lights it uses are daylight-balanced and do not cause the strong color cast that incandescent bulbs do, providing bright and even illumination that is well-suited to viewing photographs. A small button on the side is used to eject your slides, and allows them to stack on the collection tray so you can take them all together once you are done viewing. The SL-SV3 slide viewer is powered by four user-supplied batteries and can also accept an optional 110V power adapter.

A: We purchased this viewer in December of 2017 and have only used the 4 AA batteries although an adapter is available. The number is DL - SV3/AC. My husband uses this constantly and the batteries have lasted this long with no problem.
