The Porta-Jib Traveller is a lightweight, compact jib arm supporting camera rigs weighing up to 40 lb. This two-stage jib incorporates a 100mm bowl camera insert, and is small enough to transport in a baby tripod case (case not included). This two-stage, telescoping jib arm has a reach of 38–55", a pull-back of 11–18", a 31" folded height, and a boom range of 41–68". Features include a Vector Balancing Bar, boom lock, and pan lock. The Vector Balancing System enables you to transfer weight from the horizontal bar to the vertical Vector Bar, creating a zero-drift effect.

Counterbalancing the Standard Porta-Jib is done using the adjustable rear section, the Vector Balancing Bar, and standard weights (barbell weights and fine-tuning weight available separately). The Traveller has a built-in 100mm base and may be used with separately available adapters for 150mm and Mitchell-based tripods. The Porta-Jib Traveller is constructed of machined aluminum and stainless steel components, and is made in the USA.

Q: 1. Is there some kind of bracket available for me to attach my Nexus 7 to use as a monitor? Something that would make it quick and easy to clip on or remove when I set up the jib?

A: If the mount he has for his Nexus 7 has a 1/4 -20 or 3/8 threaded stud there are several places where an arm can be screwed into the pillar of the Jib-Arm.

Q: 2. I've never used a jib before. Thinking of getting for use with a Canon XA20 and/or EOS 70D. I need clarification on how these work. Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? Or would I need to view with my Nexus 7 via wi-fi to be sure I'm getting the same field? When fully extended will I have full control of the camera to get the view I want? Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? Would you recommend the Genustech Mini for my use? I need something very portable, quick and easy to set up and take down by one person. Any suggestions for an alternative jib? I'd like something in the $500 range. Thank you!

A: Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? answer yes If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? answer - it will maintain the level but not the view, you will need to use the tripod head to tilt down while raising the jib and tilt up while lowering it and yes you would need to use your Nexus 7 via wifi just to make sure. Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? - as long as the jib is properly balanced with counter weights or sand bags then yes it will go up an d down smoothly.and yes i would recomend it for your use

A: If you would like to add a head on the end of the Jony JONYJIB15N 15' Jib just add this 100mm adapter to your order - https://bhpho.to/3sxTuDR

Q: 5. Do you also include a tripod and rail?

A: This is just for the track. It does not include anything else.

Q: 6. What track and tripod is best compatible with this dolly?

A: The Porta-Jib 40' FlexTrak is designed for use with this dolly, BH #POFLXT. https://bhpho.to/3ag7DMm

Q: 7. What is the diameter of the track?

A: The diameter of the track is approximately 1 1/2".

Q: 8. can a dslr be mounted on this to shoot straight down?

A: Yes, the following item will be able to shoot straight and also give you a birds eye view straight down.

Q: 9. What is the weight limit?

A: They do not list a specific weight limit for this set. However it is a heavy duty solution. It will be able to handle a decent amount of weight.

Q: 10. what is included with this item ? is it the track only or the legs too ? also what's the max load ?

A: It's the track and the spreader legs with rollers. I have no idea what the max load is but we're using a Sachtler Flowtech 75 tripod with FSB-8 fluid head tripod and Sony FS5 camera. We actually throw sand bags down on the spreader to prevent any slight jitters. The track is solid and I suspect could take a substantial amount of weight if necessary. We use it inside a studio to shoot vehicles. For the money we've found it's worth the investment.
