Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use two bodypack with the same frequency (H10: 542 to 572 MHz) simultaneously on the BLX88 H10?

A: Two Shure BLX1-H10 Wireless Bodypack Transmitters can be used simultaneously with the Shure BLX88-H10 Dual-Channel Tabletop Wireless Receiver. Each channel on the receiver will automatically tune to a different frequency within the H10 frequency band (542 to 572 MHz) so both transmitters can be used at the same time.

Q: 2. It’s compatible with receiver BLX J10 584-608?

A: Shure BLX J10 and J11 components are not directly compatible with each other. For the best results and functionality, it is advised that you use a BLX transmitter and BLX receiver that are in the same frequency band.

Q: 3. Does this bodypack include a WL185 Cardioid Lavalier Mic? or do i need to buy this when getting one?

A: No, this Shure SLXD1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter does not come with any microphones, and you will need to purchase them separately.

Q: 4. Do non servo ta5f connectors work with the lmb transmitter?

A: Yes, the Lectrosonics L-Series LMb Bodypack Wireless Transmitter and all other Lectrosonics transmitters with 5-pin inputs have servo bias inputs that can also be used with other conventional wiring configurations.

Q: 5. What is the difference in battery life between the NP-BX1 battery and 3 AAA batteries?

A: The Sound Devices A20-Mini Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter and Recorder will run for approximately 4.5 hours on the low power setting or approximately 2.8 hours on the high power setting when using the NP-BX1 rechargeable battery. When using three lithium AAA batteries to power the A20-Mini, the approximate battery life is 5.2 hours on the low power setting or approximately 3 hours on the high power setting.

Q: 6. Funciona si uso un receptor Shure BLX4 H9 con un transmisor Bodypack H10?

A: No. El transmisor y el receptor deben estar en el mismo bloque de frecuencia.

Q: 7. how can you attach the Sennheiser MKE2 lav?

A: You can use the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with 3-Pin LEMO Connector - Black (B&H # SEMKE24CG) with the Sound Devices A20-Mini Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter and Recorder. The mic input on the A20-Mini uses a 3-pin LEMO connector.

Q: 8. Can I use two bodypacks and two wireless mics simultaneously on the BLX88 H10?

A: No, the Shure BLX88 Dual-Channel Tabletop Wireless Receiver (H10: 542 to 572 MHz) can only be used with two transmitters at the same time. The Shure BLX1 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter (H10: 542 to 572 MHz) and the Shure BLX2/SM58 Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule (H10: 542 to 572 MHz) are both compatible transmitters, so you can use any combination of two.

Q: 9. Is it compatible with any mic system

A: No. This transmitter can only be used with these Shure receivers- BLX4, BLX4R, and the BLX88. Either receiver must be in the same frequency range as that transmitter, specifically range J10. Please also note, that transmitter has a ta4m connection, and can only be used with mics wired for Shure systems utilizing a ta4f on the mic.

Q: 10. If this A20 mini cannot record 32 bit float as backup AND transmit audio signal to RX on camera at the same time in USA, what alternative products are out there that can do both at the same time?

A: Unfortunately no, there is not currently a comparable option that is capable of recording in 32-bit and transmit over UHF frequencies at the same time. As of January 2023, this is still proprietary technology.

The SLX-D product line brings several high-end features into an affordable price range. Only problem is, parts are in short supply and these are very difficult to find. I've been buying the Guitar versions, as the Handheld + Lav Combos are scarcer than hen's teeth. Keeping my eye out for G58 Handhelds to add to these. B&H seems to get more in stock than other resellers and I appreciate that.
