Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a strap accessory that would work on this case?

A: You could use the Pelican Padded Shoulder Strap, BH # PEPSS https://bhpho.to/2WG196J

Q: 2. Can this be used with the new GH5 ii?

A: Yes the GH5 II is compatible with this Vello battery grip.

Q: 3. Will D850 with battery grip fit in this case without removing the grip?

A: This case is for the D850 without grip.

Q: 4. Hi, I have the sony 20-70gm2 and 70-200 gm2. They could be fitted in this foam?

A: The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens (Sony E) B&H # SO247028GM2 will fit but the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II Lens B&H # SO70200282GM is too large for the foam cutouts.

Q: 5. How deep are the lens sections? Would it fit a telephoto like Canon 70-300 or 70-200?

A: This case is not for your gear. This is custom fit for a mirrorless camera and its small lenses. The interior of the case allows about a 5 high piece of gear. The Canon 70-200mm's are 6.77 to 7.83 in length. They would only fit lying flat. That would defeat the purpose of the custom cut foam.

Q: 6. What Leica M lenses can fit in the cut-outs?

A: After checking both websites, Leica and HPRC do not specify which lenses will fit.

Q: 7. Does GH5 mk2 output cine4K60p with 4:2:2 10 bits h.264?

A: The GH5 MK ii can output DCI 4K 60p at 10 Bit 4:2:2 to an external recorder via HDMI. Internally it can record only record DCI 4K 60p at 10 Bit 4:2:0

Q: 8. Just want to make sure this will also fit the gh5s?

A: Yes, the GH5s is the exact same size as the GH5.

Q: 9. When recording internally at 120p, is full pixel readout being used (and then down sampled to 1080)? If so, then there is no pixel binning and no line skipping in 120p, right? Thanks!

A: Under 150FPS, you can select the sensor area. Above 150FPS, the full sensor is default. We find no line skipping or pixel binning reported.

Q: 10. Will this case accommodate an a7rIV and 70-200mm zoom?

A: Hi, you could fit the A7R IV and the 70-200mm lens in this case, but you would need to remove or reconfigure the foam protective insert.

I love this camera! It can do anything (pretty much) and it's light but not like a cheap light and above all it shoots some great video and quality pictures. Highly recommend!

This camera is amazing, especially when paired with a Metabones speedbooster and EF lenses. I am a freelance journalist and use this for video journalism purposes, including at actions at protests and outdoor events, and the small profile makes this camera less intimidating to people, even when attached to a rig and some accessories.

Before buying this, I'd considered Sony's lineup, like the a7 III, which was a comparable price, as well as Canon's R series. I can't say how the GH5 II stacks up in comparison, but for my purposes, this has worked very well. One tradeoff is that it's not great in low light, but having and small external light (attached to the camera cage even) addresses that. At this price tradeoff seems to often be low light performance, better in full-frame and Sony's cameras, vs stabilization, and the the in-body stabilization allows for a great handheld feel without footage being to jittery.

As is commonly noted, the autofocus also isn't that reliable, but I enjoy manual focus anyway. That's something to consider, depending on what you're up to, because manual focus pretty much requires a rig with a handle and a monitor, but the profile of the whole setup is still decently small. I believe that soon-to-be-released GH 7 will be much better in this realm, as I think the GH 6 was, but

I came from a Canon EOS camera, so I was able to use all my EF lenses once I got the Metabones .71x speedbooster and the image quality is amazing, for this budget.

I upgraded to this camera from the GH4 and it is amazing! I know I'm a little behind on camera models, but I purchased the GH4 in 2017 and it has been my workhorse for video ever since. I decided to go with this camera because of it's features and price. The video quality and features surpass most other cameras in this price range.

Coming from a GH4. this was a HUGE upgrade.

More FPS
More resolution with anamorphic (up to 6k)
More slomo (From 96fpd to 180 fps read out)
More light sensinbility
More control over audio.
Better interface
Amazing connectivity for streaming.
Dark magic last longing batteries lol....

If you have a good invest on M43 lenses this an amazon upgrade even coming from the GH5/GH5S due price and interface/chipset upgrade.

GH6 will be around $700 more so that why we decide go to this.

If this is your first hybrid camera and you LOVE Panasonic, you should check first the S2 or so...

If you're looking for a new MFT body and you shoot stills and video, this is a great camera. I've considered saving up for a GH6 or an OM1, but reviews point out that the GH6 does great, high quality video and good stills and an OM1 does great stills and good video. The GH5M2 does great video and great stills.
I'm a retired photojournalist, now shooting both photos and video for the Master Gardeners and the Habitat for Humanity and other charities. My videos tend to go to YouTube or are shown in classrooms or fundraisers. Of course, the GH5M2 shoots 4K, the GH6 goes up to 6K and you can set up a rig on the OM1 that will record ProRes Raw. I simply don't need that. I work in HD video and raw stills. The GH5M2 is simply a wonderful little camera full of technology. The operating manual is about 850 pages. It's worth reading them.
Back at the LA Times, I had a trunk full of Canon gear. In retirement, I got tired of lugging around the heavy stuff and switched to MFT. The Panasonic GH5 M2 is the best camera I've ever used.

this is our 4th GH5 from earlier model to this Mark ll. The improvement Lumix has made makes it our go to camera for beautiful cinematic imaging to photography as well. I have sold my G9 and now use this GH5 mark ll for both.
The gh6 is out but though there are a few nice perks there are a few that have been removed and we see no reason to go to a GH6.

I own a Lumix DMC-LX7 camera, bought used from a camera store dealt with since 1982. My co-producer of videos owns a GH4. She recommended the GH5 II based on her career as a tv camerawoman, collage instructor, and contractor.

I wanted an all-around lens, but the review of the kit of the camera & 12-60 lens was good, and B&H staff great at answering my questions.

I now am reviewing options for 60-200+ options.
