Q: 1. Wondering about level of JPG compression. File resolution is stated at 22MP (interpolated 4200 dpi) or 14MP (direct 3200 dpi), but what are the actual jpg file sizes (in Mb)?

A: Unfortunately the level of compression is not specified for this scanner. File sizes will vary based on what is scanned. 22MP scans will typically be around 7MB. 14MP scans will typically be around 4MB.

Q: 2. How many slides fit in at once? Hoping not to change one at a time.

A: It's a single slide viewerthat's the whole point. If you want to view multiple slides at once, get a slide projector.

Q: 3. I also would like to know the magnification of model #6566.? #6560 is advertised to have 4X magnification. Surely you could determine this as it is an important feature.

A: THe magnification is also 4x

Q: 4. Couldn't find what digital format the images where saved as TIFF, JPEG OR OTHER?

A: It should be JPG but we do not have these in our store currently to confirm.

Q: 5. Will this viewer work with glass mounted 2 slides?

A: This is a nice little projector but I only tried regular slides in it. I do not know if glass-mounted would work.

Q: 6. Is a power cord supplied, not just the adapter?

A: Pana-Vue Pana-Scan Slide and Film Scanner comes with a USB cord and a US /AC adapter. You can connect the Ac adapter on an outlet or use computers and even power banks to power your film scanner.

Q: 7. Batteries?

A: No batteries needed. You just point the viewer at a diffuse bright light. A lightbox is ideal (B&H sells many), but bright daylight or a bright light shone through a diffuser or off a white wall will do fine.

Q: 8. Can you replace the bulb easily if it burns out?

A: Yes it is easy to change the bulb

A: At back of unit press both sides simultaneously and pull back. Unit housing batteries and bulb will slide out.

A: Images scanned with the Pana-Vue Pana-Scan Slide and Film Scanner are scanned as a .JPG file.
