Extend the 3G-SDI signal from your cameras or production switcher over 6 miles of singlemode fiber with the Camplex CMX-3GSDI-TR. Needing just 5-volts of power, it's the perfect compact tool for outside broadcast productions and live event video shoots. Add a Camplex ST fiber optic tactical cable and you're ready to shoot in any long distance environment!
The CMX-3GSDI-TR fiber converter extends a 3G, SDI or SD signal at resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz. The receiver features an optical power meter that displays signal strength for added confidence that your production is always live and on the air. Its compact, lightweight packaging fits right inline and is perfect to keep camera weights to a minimum while the use of a fiber based system ensures nearly zero loss over extreme distances.
Both the send and receive units are powered via a 5V DC adapter making integration seamless. Each has a LED signal indicator to confirm the presence of the SDI signal as well as power. Singlemode connections are completed with ST connectors to ensure positive bayonet-lock mating. The system fully supports SMPTE-424M (3G-SDI), SMPTE-292M (HD-SDI) and SMTPE- 259M (SD-SDI) signals.

Q: 1. can this model TVLogic LVM-170A do split screen to monitor 2 set of camera?

A: No, although there are many advanced features in this monitor, the TVLogic LVM-170A does not support a split screen of 2 images. http://www.tvlogic.tv/new/M_Spec.asp?sidx=67

Q: 2. Is it possible to force the output HD-SDI signal type to be 1080p @ 29.97 regardless of the HDMI or VGA input frequency? and does HDCP pass through this device, such as putting this in line with a computer to a TV and tapping off to use for recording from the HD-SDI output?

A: I use this device for connecting various computers to my professional video switching systems. Yes, whatever the input is, the output is a stable signal at a number of different standards, including 1080p @29.97.I haven't run across any problems with HDCP blocking my use of the signal. That said, I don't recommend using ANY product to bypass HDCP protocols.YMMV....Good luck!Kevin Lawson

Q: 3. Anyone know the processing delay? Want to bring a consumer HDMI camera into a 720p system, for IMAG. Thanks in advance for your input.

A: No delay. I have used it for IMAG. SOLID PERFORMANCE.

Q: 4. can you put arri amira lut rec 709 on this monitor with some usb or smth?

A: Not that we are aware of. This monitor does not list Customer LUT Support.

Q: 5. Will it convert from 1080p 50 frames to 1080i 50 frames?

A: Yes indeed. Great unit!

Q: 6. I have a Free To Air Satellite Receiver that receives and displays most Ku Band Satellite TV channels in 720p HD format, which is watchable but oftentimes annoying; nowhere near the 1080i quality I would like. So if I ran an HDMI cable from the Free To Air satellite reciever to the Up Converter, and another HDMI cable from the converter to my TV, will I get the nice crystal clear detailed 1080i picture instead? Or will it still look fuzzy and kind of out of focus? I'm willing to blow the money for your product if it will display in true clear detailed 1080i quality. I hope you can please let me know. Thanks!

A: This is a great converter. I've bought a few of them for various applications. It will absolutely do the conversion you're asking about. The quality you get on the output will be entirely dependant upon what you put in. If your source is HD then you can expect a good picture going up to 1080.

Q: 7. Does DataVideo DAC-70 support SMPTE Level B?

A: Hi Gill,Our DAC-70 support SMPTE Level A, not Level B.

Q: 8. Can I set up dac-70 SDI output to atem television Hd and HDMI out put to projector ? Anyone try before please help me .

A: Yes that is possible.

Q: 9. Can it convert a DVI input to HD-SDI using a DVI to HDMI Cable?

A: If you are converting a DVI-D to HDMI, then yes that should be no problem. You will have to also factor in audio. your DVI to HDMI conversion will need to embed the the audio into the HDMI stream.

Q: 10. Has anyone used this to input HDMI from PC to an SDI input , on the BMD 1 M/E Switcher? We tried using a Decimator MD-HX and have not had any luck. Thanks!

A: 1st, your Payload: BMD ATEM by default is 1080i / 59.94; Delivery: SMPTE Level B. Your Decimator MD-HX, those are configured by default as Output Converters. Install the Decimator control Panel to configure (Decimator)as an Input Converter. It will do what you want. The DAC-70s are SMPTE Level A. At 1080i / 59.94, they will work as long as the Payload remains 1080i / 59.94. Delivery: SMPTE Level A or B, does not matter at that rate. We use both DAC-70's & Decimators, among other Converters, with our BMD ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K Video Switch. Hope that helps!
