The Tiffen 5 x 6" 80D Color Conversion Filter helps to increase the color temperature from 4200 to 5500K, allowing the use of daylight-balanced film in tungsten-lit conditions. The cooling effect of this filter requires a 0.3-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 5 x 6" / 127 x 152.4mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Did Canon fix the famous trouble with underexposure when using a speed-light in the bounce and/or off-camera positions? It was annoying to see the canon G-6 and G-11 work perfectly, but the prosumer dslr camera body was lousy at it. At least without the AE Lock and Pre-Flash (*) button trick.

A: I tested this issue that was described and the camera works perfectly with an external flash mounted on the shoe mount bounced off the ceiling. This is a great camera, five stars.

Q: 2. is the BG-E14 battery grip compatible with the canon 80d? thank you!

A: Yes, the BG-E14 battery grip is compatible with the Canon 80D.

Q: 3. Have they solved the poor noise/signal ratio of the audio input of its predecessor? (60D, 70D, etc).Thank for answering

A: As this camera has just been announced, this information is not yet available to us. I recommend checking out user-review sites such as DP Review for user tests to see if this is something being tested by users of this camera.

Q: 4. I have the 70D and I'm wondering if the 80D has a much better noise ratio with both low light and ISO starting at 1600 and up? The noise issue on the 70D is pretty bad.

A: Hi Raymond D, I have not had the camera long enough to be able to answer that questions directly. However, in doing research online, I did see images blown up that showed the 80D was much better in the noise department at 1600 ISO than the 70D. I'm sorry I don't remember the website, but you might be able to google a comparison between the 80D and 70D and get the website.

Q: 5. With go pros, the max memory card supported is 64 GB. Is there a max supported memory card size with the 80d?

A: I spoke to a Canon support member and he said that there is no limit and Newer models are already anticipating, 128, 256, 512 GB and 1 T.

Q: 6. USB cable is not interchangeable with 70D ?

A: Hi Dave,I have not owned a 70D, however, it seems like the USB interface cable is the same. That said, the cable is NOT included with the camera. Hope this helps!

Q: 7. Are all the buttons customizables?

A: Yes

Q: 8. May I assume that the Canon GPS receiver, model GP-E2, will work on the new 80D?

A: Yes, the GP-E2 is compatible with the 80D.

Q: 9. takes full image via hdmi? IS pal system

A: The 80D does not have clean HDMI out.

Q: 10. What would you recommend? The Canon 80D w/ Kit lens or Sony a7 w/ Kit lens? Canon: 18-135mm IS STM lens. Sony: Sony 28-70mm lens.

A: Two points about this question: 1. Since I have no experience with Sony photo products I have nothing to compare so cannot answer the question. 2. Choosing a lens is all about what you want to use it for, what you need it to do, how many types of imagery you want to shoot with it and how much money you have to spend. But for general use, the 18-135 mm IS STM lens for the Canon 80D, a body I purchased a couple months ago, is a very fine all around lens. Not wide enough for most of what I shoot but then I shoot real estate interiors and need an ultra wise. But for most shooting and video especially, the 18-135 is excellent, sharp, good for scenics and for portraits and most things inbetween. That I can say with experience. And it is a perfect match for the 80D body. The body itself I can say is marvelous. Much greater contrast capture, better color range and many more settings than bodies I have had in the past and for video, it has much faster change of exposure in auto as you pan across subject matter where the exposure changes. So while I now nothing about Sony, I can without reservation recommend the Canon set up.
