  • Automatic display control
  • Reliable switching

The AT-HDVS-200-TX-WP allows display control using CEC, TCP/IP or RS-232 signals. This means that many more types of displays can be controlled, costs are reduced, and that wiring is simplified. In a commercial setting, when a switcher is integrated with a display, the AT-HDVS-200-TX-WP forces the display to power on automatically when a laptop is connected

Automatic input selection on the AT-HDVS-200-TX detects an active video signal. This means that devices such as DVRs, DisplayPort adapters and other no longer trigger the automatic input selection. This gives far more reliable performance.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, does the switcher allow pass through of lossless audio and is it compatible with atmos, dts-x, dolby vision? also, is the 4k @60hz 4:4:4 for resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 pixels? thanks much,George

A: It our understanding that all signals, audio and video, go through. Here is the information that Kramer provides. https://bit.ly/2s4Z3dT

Q: 2. What size mud ring would be used?

A: The picture shown is the old style. They actually changed the design to a 1G wall plate! Uses a standard Carlon low voltage 1 gang box or old work frame (orange color). See Kramer's site for new design. Same part number.

Q: 3. Is it possible to use many decoders while only using one encoder?...to multiply the signal and send it to multiple destinations.

A: At the decoder end, you can split that output with a device like this. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1123527-REG/kanexpro_sp_hd1x44k_4k_hdmi_4_port_splitter.html

Q: 4. Are those ethernet ports to transmit out?

A: Yes. This send out the signal over Cat5,Cat6 or Cat7 cables.

Q: 5. Is the remote control RF or infrared on this unit? Thank You. Joe

A: A remote is not included.

Q: 6. Does this support CEC?

A: Yes, the Atlona AT-HDVS-TX HDBaseT Extender with AT-HDRX Receiver Kit supports CEC.

Q: 7. Will it cause damage to keep this powered on 24/7/365? We have it installed in our employee training room (auditorium).

A: Yes, the KanexPro 8K HDMI 2x1 Switcher should operate without fail 24/7. I would recommend having a spare on hand if it is a mission critical part to your training room.

Q: 8. Is there a video port switch with hdmi input and display port or usb-c output? that converts the hdmi signal to display / usb-c?

A: The StarTech VS221HD4KA 2-Port HDMI 4K Automatic Video Switch with Fast Switching only has HDMI input and output.

Q: 9. Will this switch allow my desktop to connect to a video projector (HDMI) and a VGA monitor to see the same images on both at the same time? I also have a VGA monitor, so these other two are for the extended screen, not my main screen.

A: I have been using this switch in one of our conference rooms for almost a year. It has worked flawlessly. Our laptops have both VGA and Displayport outputs. We use a passive cable to convert Displayport to HDMI, the HDMI then goes into the switch. If we need to use the VGA output of the laptop, we connect it to the switch. The switch does the conversion to HDMI. That way we only have to feed our monitor with HDMI. We run a single HDMI to the monitor. If you want to share the HDMI output of a laptop with an HDMI projector and an HDMI monitor, you would need to use an HDMI splitter. To use an HDMI projector, and a VGA monitor, you can use an HDMI to VGA adapter. I hope this answers your question.

Q: 10. Seamless switching?

A: We're afraid not. This is not a seamless switcher.
