A: Not that we are aware of. It is not listed as supported in the spec sheet or in the user manual.

A: No, a wired connection is needed.

A: You can place it at either location and it wouldn't affect performance.

Q: 4. Can I use this to connect and switch between Direct TV HDMI cable and Apple HDMI cable for Netflix? Not sure I am asking question correctly. Currently if I want to watch Netflix I have to remove the DirectTV HDMI cable from the back of my TV and then connect the Apple HDMI cable to the TV. I want to be able to switch between both without having to change cables.

A: This product will not work for you. This is a Splitter, which takes a single input and splits it to 4 outputs. What you need is a Switcher, a product that gives you multiple inputs to a single output. Comprehensive makes 4k HDMI 3x1 and 5x1 Switchers with HDCP 2.2, they are B&H Numbers COCSWHD301K & COCSWHD501K. You will want to look in to these items instead.

A: yes this should work with OBS software because it shows up as a normal USB 3.0 capture device

A: There's a very good chance that this will work for you if your projector is EDID compliant. But HDMI switching is rarely seamless.

A: 1080p recording can be achieved directly to a connected external hard drive or flash drive via USB.

A: No, this requires the use of an iPad.

A: The IOGEAR True 4K 3-Port HDMI Switch (B&H# IOGHSW8431) will switch between three HDMI inputs to put out a single HDMI output. It supports up to True DCI 4K resolution 4096 x 2160p60 and 18Gbps. If you have a source (such as a camera) putting out 1080p by HDMI then this can allow you to select between that an another HDMI source to put out your choice between the two (or up to three) to a single HDMI output.

Q: 10. Can this be powered by a USB port on a computer or USB battery pack?

A: This is designed to be powered over USB and should work fine.

While the iPad's screen isn't 16:9, the display on the new M4 iPads works quite well with this SeeMo 4K. I'm powering it with a dummy battery and a v-mount, and it's able to power the iPad just fine. Granted, I haven't had the screen brightness up full during a shoot yet. With a lunch break in the middle of your day though, I feel you could top up the iPad and keep it running for a whole day. I'd be interested to know if it can take in feed that aren't 16:9. For example – wireless feeds with Capture One. Perhaps a future update? 5

Really impressed by the build quality and functionality for the price. I've been using the Ninja V for a while and got the Shinobi to have something bigger and 'monitor only'. The brightness is ridiculous and fan is quiet. Highly recommend! 5

A lot of the reviews are for people that had bad apple monitors but if your model gets in and works like mine did about 3 years ago then this monitor will serve you well. Its large, screen is crisp and it is viewable in daylight. I use it primarily as a Directors Monitor and all the people who have used it across various sets have had no complaints at all. Comparing it to Small HD monitors, its definitely an amazing monitor for an amazing price 5

Been using the Shinobi 5 for years, decided to get the 7 for the larger display. Refresh rate feels a little better (not sure if I'm just imagining that), and the image quality seems significantly better. 5

As I mentioned before in my review, the monitor stopped working. I spoke with ATOMOS and their team and sent it out for repair. Their customer service was impeccable . They eye was on the ball at all times. The respective repairs were done , respecting their time limit of almost a week, which was a decent wait. I have not written before to change my review , because after I received the monitor I went out to the field to test it. Have been shooting for over a month with it and it has not presented any problems at all. All respective flaws were fixed. Their Customer service is impeccable . Unfortunately ... yes If you are outside the US , any repair will take time. 5

I love the size and brightness of this monitor when paired on the Komodo. You wouldn't be able to compete with a direct sunlight hitting the monitor, but other than that, lovely monitor and reliable. 5

I needed a larger, yet portable monitor for use with video switching and streaming. The Shinobi 7 has both HDMI and SDI inputs, and looping outputs, and fits my needs perfectly. In particular, I need a good multi-view monitor, without the size and weight of rack-mounted components. The Shinobi runs a very long time on NP-F batteries, or an AC power supply. 5

Very happy with my Atomos Shinobi 7, sits on top of my Fx9. Great light weight monitor for my clients and myself to look at. Has peaking and zebras is you need them. 5

This is very helpful during interview setups. I have been using it with my C300mkii and it allows for much more accurate color (by installing custom LUTs) and focus. 5
