Armed with your camera, lens, housing, and Fantasea FML Flat Lens Port 34, you can capture detailed shots of coral, moray eels, blue-ringed octopi, and other wonders of the sea at depths as great as 200'. The port is compatible with Fantasea housings with FML mounts, including the FA6500 model for the Sony Alpha a6500 and a6300 mirrorless cameras.

The glass front element is flat so as not to correct for the underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer. Therefore, the port provides ample magnification for detailed close-up images. Additionally, the glass features an anti-reflection coating to help prevent lens flare when shooting in bright light. The 67mm front threads allow for the attachment of optional, external color-correction filters or accessory wide-angle or macro lenses.

Built for durability, especially resistance to corrosion by seawater, the port body is crafted from polycarbonate. As a bonus, a microfiber cloth is supplied for keeping the glass clean, clear, and scratch-free.

Q: 4. What's the difference between the 1st version and this second version as the specs seem to be the same?

A: Even though the optical formula of the lens is unchanged over the previous version, Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II Lens has an updated control chip which allows the lens to focus while zooming. This also means that the lens can keep up with the 1080/120p video recording mode on the new ZV-E10 II. The new version is now able to communicate gyro information from it's stabilization system to the camera body, allowing better coordination between the two. The move from a metal lens mount to a plastic one in the Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II Lens helps reduce the weight from 116g to 107g (3.8oz).

I purchased this lens (low end of spectrum price-wise) and am thrilled with it. I've shot two product videos with it on my Lumix GH4 and it's an awesome little lens and the perfect addition for my video needs.

Great macro lens !!!! It is light, easy to focus and the photos are just out of this world !!!! I also have the Olympus 60 mm macro but, I use the 30mm macro because it is easier to carry on my Olympus M10 Mark 111. If you buy this lens you will love it !!!!! Thank you B&H Photo for having this lens.

This lens is very sharp! As a macro lens it lets you focus very close to the subject. This lens has over 1:1 magnification which is awesome (you have to get very close though). At f2.8 there is some light vignetting at corners but very sharp at the center. Vignetting is reduced quite significantly as soon as you get to f4.0. The depth of field is very thin when shooting close to the subject at f3.5. Really happy with this lens.

Lens is small, compact, sharp, light weight, focuses down to about 3... perfect for my use. I am using this lens to convert 35mm slides to digital format... the results are great. Price is right.

I bought this lens to supplement my 60 mm macro. This now gives me two lenses that allow me to focus stack in my camera. It's a pity that only a few Olympus lenses can be used for focus stacking. And most of those are the more expensive Pro lenses. At a sale price of $199.99, this was a good second choice. And there are a few times when a 120 mm equivalent lens is just too long. This lens looks and feels like a toy lens. Especially when you look at the size of the front element. Still, this is an f/3.5-22 lens. And I can say that it is quite sharp. The focus ring is very smooth, and the lens remains the same size at all focusing distances. I did a simple comparison shot with my 60 mm macro at f/5 .6 and could see no difference in sharpness. The 60 mm was a little warmer, (or maybe the 30 mm was cooler, I'm not sure which). I didn't check the refraction at f/22 but then I very seldom shoot smaller than f/11 and all my other lenses do pretty well that even f/16. As usual for Olympus, a lens hood was not provided. Although I have noticed that they are starting to include the hood with some of their lenses. So first thing I did was order a rubber lens hood for the 30 mm. It cost 10 bucks is also threaded on the inside so I can use put on the lens cap or install a filter without removing the hood. Rubber is also good for those aquarium shots I can put the lens right against the glass blocking out spurious light. Plus it pops in for storage.

Really small and compact, very sharp, and support focus stacking on the OM D EM1 Mark ii.

This focal length is a nice complement to the wider-than-normal focal length of my smart phone.  It frames subjects in their surroundings as I tend to see them.

I was concerned about color contrast when using this lens for general photography.  Although not quite the color resolution of the truly phenomenal 7-14 pro, it works very well as your carry-around snapshot lens - you know, P-mode stuff.  I set the auto white balance to keep warm color and the picture mode to vivid to get colors more as I see them and then added a 49mm thread metal barrel lens hood from B&W.  Ambient flare was the culprit.  Rubber hoods were not narrow enough; ones available at 46mm thread size are made for wide angle lenses and too easily came unscrewed.

The macro is lots of fun in gardens and coffee shops.  Since it is shorter in focal length and the auto focus is so fast, one doesnt need a focus limiter found on longer lenses to avoid annoying focus hunting.  Be sure to initially focus on an edge with high contrast.   Focus stacking reveals the majesty of the miniature world but of course that means you port a tiny tripod. wow.

I was very pleased with the sharpness of this lens. It is light and small and adds a new dimension to my Olympus micro 4/3rds cameras. I also own the 60mm Olympus macro lens, and this 30mm Macro is now my favorite.
