Sigma's FF High-Speed Prime Lenses combine the same high-quality optics and mechanics of their Global Vision still line in a cine-oriented design. This 135mm Sony E mount prime is a longer focal length in the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution, and a T2 maximum aperture in a compact, lightweight form; it is also available in Canon and PL mounts. Electronic contacts in the mount provide lens data communication between the lens and the camera. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line make it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.
The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability. Focus marks are in feet with select marks in luminous paint for easy visibility in low light.
To relieve stress on your camera's lens mount, a support foot is built into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. If you wish to fit your FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted from one to the other by an authorized Sigma service center (not available for PL mounts).

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does this communicate focus distance to a Red Epic?
A: Yes, the RED Epic is among the fully compatible models that work with this lens.
Q: 2. Does the Sigma ART line of smaller (photography sized) lenses feature the same optical performance as these?
A: When it comes to lenses the quality of the lens can be subjective, but I would say the look/operation of the Sigma 50mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet) would general be considered superior to the Sigma ART series.
Q: 3. Is this lens parfocal or the same as the non cine version?
A: Sigma describes the lens being nearly parfocal since the optics design is based off the non cine version.
Q: 4. What is the difference between the normal lens kit, and the kit that says fully luminous feet?
A: The Sigma 50-100mm T2 Fully Luminous High-Speed Zoom Lens (Canon EF, Feet) (BH# SI50100T2CE) is the version of the lens with markings that glow in the dark. The standard version has non glow-in-the-dark markings only. The only difference is the type of paint that is used for those markings.
Q: 5. Has anyone used this lens with a Metabones Ultra 0.71 on a GH5? What were your results? Was focus clear and stable throughout zoom range? Did you have any vignetting? Thank you!
A: While we have not heard of this particular combination, it is an EF lens, a Metabones adapter, and a GH5 camera. And there are thousands of successful combinations of these components. We would expect this to work as intended with excellent sharpness.
Q: 6. will autofocus work properlly with canon c 100 m2?
A: This is a manual focus lens. It does not offer auto focus at all.
Q: 7. Does this set come with a case?
A: No, the Sigma T1.5 Cine FF High-Speed Art Prime 5-Lens Set does not come with a case.
Q: 8. Does this come with a case?
A: Yes it does. The Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses is included with this kit.
Q: 9. There is a typo in the first line of the description?
A: There was error and we have since corrected it. We thank you for pointing this out and apologize for any confusion.
Q: 10. With this lens if I place it on my Red camera in a water housing can i purchase a screw in ND Filter? Or something can be clapped on the front?
A: When using the Sigma 14mm T2 FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount) you would need to use a dome port. So you would not be able to use a screw in ND Filter or use a clamp. You could get a ND gel filter and place it inside the dome.
