The Microphone to Network Interface from RDL converts four XLR microphone inputs to Dante network audio channels over a single RJ45 network cable. Each XLR input is equipped with a switch to set the gain for dynamic or condenser microphones. A dual-LED VU meter displays the level for each input to facilitate selection of the ideal gain range. P48 phantom power is supplied to each microphone input. Valid PoE power and synchronization to the Dante network is indicated by a green LED on the front of the unit. The device is constructed in a durable, professional all-metal enclosure suitable for free-standing, surface-mounted, or rack-mounted operation.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use this for phone calls or facetime, or does it only work with the included apps?

A: Works great with even skype.

Q: 2. Do you have these (STM-2) in stock and if so how quickly can I get them in Richmond, Va.? Thanks

A: We do currently have the STM-2 in stock and available to ship. This unit also currently qualifies for free Expedited Shipping which has an estimated 2 day ship time to VA. please contact a Sales Rep by phone at 800-606-6969 or visit the product page to place an order.

Q: 3. Can I connect my pioneer dj900 nexus mixer and Yamaha O1V mixer on 2 RDL-10 K, before entering the audio processorOr should I use the RDL-600? Better!?

A: We usually use these for summing stereo signals to mono. Very handy! The STD-10K is designed for combining or distributing consumer level audio signals, which often use RCA connectors (like DVD players, CD players, etc). The STD-600 is designed with the proper resistance for professional audio equipment, which typically uses XLR or TRS connectors. That DJ mixer has both types of outputs, but using the XLR outputs to match what the Yamaha is outputting is your best bet. Then they'll both be a good match for an STD-600. The device the signal is going to should also have a professional type input.I think the RDL product sheet has some example diagrams for dealing with a variety of balanced and unbalanced connections.

Q: 4. Is this preamp good for voice over recording?

A: The EZ-MPA2 is ideal for adding microphone inputs to mixers and amplifiers with line inputs, and it can be used in houses of worship, restaurants, clubs, meeting rooms, educational facilities, conference rooms, studios and commercial sound systems. -------------------This product is not designed or recommended for voice-over or other vocal recording projects.

Q: 5. Will this work on a MacBook? I’m going to use it for a podcast.

A: The iRig Pre was designed for use with mobile devices like iPhones and iPads rather than a MacBook. You will have better results using a USB interface with a MacBook. If you are using a mic with XLR output, you can use the Polsen XLR-USB-48 XLR to USB Audio Interface (B&H# POXLRUSB48) which can also supply phantom power. The Behringer U-PHORIA UM2 Desktop 2x2 USB 1.1 Audio Interface (B&H# BEUM2) is another lower-priced option. If you want an interface that will work with your MacBook as well as with mobile devices, the IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre (B&H# IKIRIGPREHD) or Zoom U-22 Ultracompact 2x2 USB Handy Audio Interface (B&H# ZOZU22) are good options. Please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat if you would like further assistance.

Q: 6. Can this unit record to both a external drive and a computer simultaneously? I believe I saw two USB ports in the rear panel picture.

A: The JoeCo Bluebox Workstation Interface Recorder (MFR# BBWR24MP) is an awesome product, offering pristine 24bit/96kHz audio both to and from your DAW and simultaneous back up of all source recordings, as it is a standalone multi-track field recorder as well.

Q: 7. What version of AES72 is this?

A: The SoundTools SuperCAT Sound Tails Male RJ45 to Four Male XLR Breakout Cable (52") is AES72-2O compliant.

Q: 8. If I were to use this device with an android phone, would I be able to monitor the audio quality using headphones while recording?

A: Only if the app you're using to record supports monitoring while recording. The output is not direct monitoring, it's acting as the headphone output of your phone.

Q: 9. I have iphone se. I want to connect Galaxy GT-V wireless and connect the headphone jack from irig pre to mixer. Will this work and what xlr to 1/8 adapter will I need for the iring pre? Thank you

A: This could work. Use this cable. A headphone into a LINE input may a bit "hot".

Q: 10. What if you surpass the 2gb FAT32 file limitation? Is there a way to recover the audio that was recorded beyond the 2gb?

A: Thank you for your question. once the file limitation is met there is no way to recover the audio past the 2GB mark.
