Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. is battery mounted in digisix or seperated?
A: The meter comes with the battery installed.
Q: 2. Does Gossen Digisix II.fit on an accessory shoe; like on an old Nikon S2?
A: The Gossen Digisix 2 Ambient Light Meter has a 1/4" screw opening in the back. You can use an adapter like this to place it on the shoe of a camera. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/860269-REG/Revo_sa_cs_14m_Hot_Shoe_to_1_4.html
Q: 3. Can Gossen MAVOSPEC measures flash light?
A: Hi,The Mavospec cannot measure flash light in a proper way, due to the long integration time. However it's capable of providing spectral data for the flash light.Normally when measuring flash light, the aim is to set a proper exposure for the cameras. For this, the Mavospec is useless. For this purpose, use e. g. a Seconic exposure meter.Tore
Q: 4. what are the standard values to compare the readings of Mavolux with them? so i could judge if the monitor is ok or not?
A: The meter is not for displays/monitors but for light sources. The meter reads in Foot-candles and Lux. There is no standard of reading because it depends on the light source and there are many. The manual explains very well how to use this and its main uses a href= http://bit.ly/1NXMOoq target= _blank http://bit.ly/1NXMOoq./a
Q: 5. Will this work with pocket wizards?
A: It will only with PC connecting cable
Q: 6. Since there's no power button, and the meter is permanently draining the battery, is it a good idea or a bad idea to continually remove the battery when the meter is not in use?
A: The battery inside the Gossen Digisix 2 Ambient Light Meter uses very little power, so it is not imperative to remove the battery from the meter. However, if it eases your concern, if you will not be using the meter for more 3-6 months or longer and you have a safe space to store the battery, then you may remove the battery for your convenience.
Q: 7. What's the difference between the Gossesn DigiPro F and the new F2?
A: The new DIGIPRO F2 has been expanded to able to display exposure values in 1/2 or 1/3 increments, and has display illumination that switches on automatically for 5 seconds after the measurement if the environment illumination is less than EV 3. It also has an extended correction value range of +/- 9.9 exposure values, which would be beneficial for those wo do long exposure with high density neutral density filters. The CINE mode has been expanded to include the required film speeds within a range of 8 to 96 fps, and compensations for shutter angles which deviate from 180° by entering a calculated correction value. The exposure value function of both exposure meters has been expanded to include simple measurement of illuminance in lx or fc for setting up film lighting. It also comes with a new neoprene case.
Q: 8. Does this light/flash meter have full, one half, and one third stop shutter settings? Example...shutter speed 125,160,200,and 250 of a second. Thank You
A: The meter does measure in 1/1, 1/2 or 1/3 EV.
Q: 9. Does this light meter work in low or dim light or is the Sekonic L478DR a better option for low/dim light? Thanks!
A: I never had a Sekonic meter, the DigiPro F2 was my first light meter, and I used to meter at most time about flash metering, and the DigiPro F2 for me is very usefull.
Q: 10. is user manual in english available?
A: The user manual that came with my Gossen Digisix 2 Light Meter is in English and German.
