The IOGEAR USB Type-C to 4-Port USB Type-A Hub provides one USB Type-C port and four USB Type-A ports, so a USB-C outfitted system can access more USB devices. A: If you are charging your laptop while the hub is connected it will get hot although it shouldn't be getting hot to the point where you cannot touch it.

If you are having issues with the HDMI port not working and you have already tested with different cables, your laptops USB C port might not be capable of outputting video over USB C.
