Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there an adapter for lectrosonics compatible (TA5F) lavs, or would I need to get new lavs for this?

A: Although we have seen custom adapters to convert TA5F to 3-Pin Lemo, we recommend using lavaliers with dedicated wiring for the Lectrosonics SSM Digital Hybrid Wireless Miniature Transmitter. B&H does not offer adapters of this nature at this time.

Q: 2. do these mics need phantom power?

A: As stated already, these mikes attach to a transmitter. If of course works with Samson transmitters, but I purchased - and use them with VocoPro transmitters as well.

Q: 3. What is the version or model number of the VT500 that has a 3.5mm plug compatible with the mic input of the Sony D-100 recorder or compatible with the mic input of a Panasonic GH5 camera? (Note also that the D-100 has a setting to enable plug-in power.)

A: The Voice Technologies VT500 Omnidirectional Miniature Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm TRS Plug for DSLRs (Beige), BH #VOVT0579 is the appropriate model, with a non-locking 3.5mm end to fit digital audio recorders and cameras with 3.5mm audio inputs that provide plug-in power.

Q: 4. Can this Lav mic be used with the RODELink wireless transmitter?

A: I don't think so. It looks like it has a different locking connector than the Rode. The Rodelink has a new model out. To be certain I would call Rode.

Q: 5. I have a lot of Sennheiser lavs with a 3.5mm connector. Is there an adapter that will connect my Sennheiser mics to the 3 pin lemo of this receiver?

A: Unfortunately there would be no adapters available to connect a lavalier wired with a Sennheiser mini jack to connect with a Lectrosonics transmitter.

Q: 6. this unit come with one 3.7V battery or two?thanks.

A: One.

Q: 7. Is the SE-10t compatible with the Telex WT-55?

A: Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question.

Q: 8. will SE10T interface with Electro-voice BPU-2 transmitter?

A: I don't know about Electro-voice. There are several adapters, and one fit our Shure transmitter with no problem. We used it for the first time last Sunday, and it worked fine.

Q: 9. Does this mic need phantom power?

A: Yes, it is a condenser mic. It will pull power from your wireless transmitter body pack. If you adapt it to XLR you'll need to provide phantom power.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with the Sennheiser XSW-D Portable Lav Set (both being 3.5mm)?

A: Yes, this mic is compatible with Sennheiser transmitters.
