$567.00 $890.19

This 0.5-stop, 4 x 4" Schneider Solid ND Filter has a 1.4x filter factor that provides a 0.5-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.15 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to record or photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This filter is constructed from water white glass for increased optical clarity as well as color fidelity, and measures 4.0mm thick.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello! Does this filter have front threads (to attach a lens cap)? Thanks!

A: Yes. 77mm front filter threads allow for use with other filters or a lens cap.

Q: 2. Will this fit on the Nikon 8-15 fisheye lens?

A: Yes it will fit

Q: 3. Where are these made? Thanks.

A: These are manufactured in China.

Q: 4. will this fit on the Canon 8-15mm fisheye lens?

A: Yes this filter can fit a Canon EF 8-15mm lens.

Q: 5. Curious if this ND/PL stacked with a Tiffen Black ProMist on a 24mm lens will cause vinette problems (@f/1.4 thru f/4)? I'm thinking it likely will and might then go for non PL version as it looks slightly thinner? Cheers if anyone's already test this out?

A: If you use this on a full-frame camera, you would be likely to have some vignetting. On a crop-sensor camera, it would be less likely.

Q: 6. What is the filter thickness? Not stated in the specs. Thx

A: Screw-on filters like the Polar Pro ND64 QuartzLine do not traditionally specify filter thickness. We measured ours at the store and without the filter threads, the filter measures 6.21mm thick.

Q: 7. Is it easy to see the effect of the polarizer and set it properly since the filter is so dark?

A: It is not as easy as when you have the ND and polarizer filters separate, but the best option is to increase the ISO a lot to focus and also to set the polarization and then turn the ISO down to take the picture.

Q: 8. I have a Tamron 100-400 f4.5-6.3. Is an ND64 filter too high of stops for it? What should I take into consideration when looking for ND/Polarizer filters?

A: It's hard to say how many stops is too much because the contextual information (i.e. the kind of exposure/photograph you are trying to create) has significant influence on how many stops you might need. Technically you can use any amount of stops you want and likely achieve a similar result, but you will need to adjust your ISO, aperture, and/or shutter speed/bulb exposure times to compensate for the light loss. The ND64 QuartzLine ND and CP combo is great because it allows you to the option of not stacking a simple ND and CPL, thereby shooting through two pieces of glass instead of three. This is better for image clarity and lowers the chance of reflection/refraction issues between filters and glare.

Q: 9. will it work with CANON EF 11-24mm f/4L USM Lens ?

A: The Canon 11-24mm is too large. You can use this Fotodiox kit instead: https://bhpho.to/3fKBX6A Plus this 186mm filter: https://bhpho.to/3mqBgRh

Q: 10. Does this kit includes the magnetic ring?

A: SLR Magic 82mm Solid Neutral Density Filter Kit is not magnetic. The filters are attached by screwing them onto the filter ring of your lens.
