The Mini Battery Plate for ARRI ALEXA Mini Cameras from SHAPE enables you to power your camera using a Gold mount battery. It features a 10" cable with an 8-pin LEMO connector that supplies a regulated output to your camera. This plate has one D-Tap port for powering accessories and can be mounted to a cheese plate or battery slide on your camera rig.

It's overpriced, yes. You could get a smallrig and be 98% as happy I think. But this is just 2% more thoughtful in the ergonomics and engineering of it and so when I bought a couple mini D-tap batteries I decided to get this along with it, and they pair together perfectly. So I'd say, for video work, if you know you're going to use it a lot, then get it, and cry once. 5
