It is very sturdy and stable even fully extended up/across, and there is no sagging. I recently used it and the large backdrop to photograph a family of 15...no problems, no worries it would fall. Comes in a decent carrying bag as well, and unlike others of similar width, this one collapses down small enough to fit in the car (others have fixed 12' crossbars). I'm very pleased with it, it was money well spent. I don't think I'll need to purchase another backdrop stand - this will work with everything I have and could ever want to use with it!
