A: It will work as an audio output tethered to camera via XLR. But the timecode side of things will not be usable as the 302 does not have a timecode function. The return into the 302 should work, but I've never personally tested it.

Q: 10. I have a Sound Devices 788T and want to get a break-away that also sends timecode. This looks like the only one. Will it also work with the 788T? By looking at the picture, I can assume it will--with minor adaptation. 1) I already have TA3 to XLR cables for the mixer outputs and 2) would just have to adapt the 1/8 TRS back to TA3 or XLR and use an input channel to monitor return--or get a switcher box and use the 1/8 straight out. Am I making all the right assumptions here? Safe to buy? :-)

A: Can't see why it wouldn't work the way you've described. You could also have Pro Sound or Gotham Sound in NYC make you a custom end for the 788 for this.
