Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this safe for lens elements?

A: Hi Chris, While the material itself is safe for lens elements, you need to be sure there are not any particles trapped on the Chamois that could harm the lens surface. The best option is to use a disposable wipe, like rosco tissues, or use our new Bluestar Lens Cleaning Cloth that we have designed specifically for optics from start to finish. But again, if you use any reusable cloth, you need to take very good care of it to be sure no harmful particles are trapped on the material. Let us know if you have any more questions. Andrew O. Q: 2. A good micro cloth should be machine washable. Is this cloth washable with the attached bag?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. what is in the can? is it air under pressure?

A: This is a can of pressurized air.

Q: 4. Is this the appropriate weight/viscosity lubrication to use after declicking apertures? I don't know which one is generally used for the correct dampened feel.

A: I would suggest going with something heavier. It will depend a bit on how much drag you want, and the exact design of your lens. But I would definitely go with one of the heavier ones.

Q: 5. Does this cloth come with a bag for storage?

A: No this cloth didn't come with a bag.

Q: 6. How canI buy this product direct from the UK? (Super Suction Tool)

A: We offer international shipping. Add the item to the cart online to calculate.

Q: 7. Is this material rubber backed?

A: Japan Hobby Tool Shutter Curtain for Focal-Plane Shutter Cameras BH #JAJHT9532 is not rubber backed. The material is 14 momme Habutai silk cloth, which is a material often used for this purpose by camera companies. The product measures 8.7 by 11.8 inches and features a thickness of 7.9 mils.

Q: 8. Can this screwdriver be used to replace the propellers on a DJI Mini 4 pro drone?

A: Yes, the Japan Hobby Tool Cross-Point Screwdriver #0 JIS for Camera Repair (2 x 40mm) would be a good option to use to replace the propellers on the DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone.

Q: 9. How big is the cork sheet?

A: The cork sheet is 3.95" x 5.90" / 100mm x 150mm.

Q: 10. Do these cloths offer any weather, or water resistance

A: Unfortunately, this cloth does not offer any type of weather or water resistance.

these tools are great for removing a filter without damaging anything, especially when you stack...

Just what the doctor ordered - worked on getting my step up ring off my lens which was stuck - and it worked like a charm so easy - I should have bought these years ago

The wrenches work perfectly the first time and taught me a lesson: Don't screw on the filters so tight. Thanks B&W!! My go-to site for all things photographic.

I had a 72mm Nikon thin circular polarizer stuck. Expensive polarizer, very expensive lens. Trying by hand for a half hour would not remove it. I ordered this. It came today. 30 seconds later the polarizer is off with all in perfect condition.

I had just purchased the new Nikon 70-200mm lens and realized after it arrived that my current circular polarizer wouldn't fit my new lens. I ordered the B+W 77mm XS-Pro Kaesemann High Transmission Circular Polarizer MRC-Nano Filter which is very low profile. When it arrived (note: it was very cold outside at the tiem and had just brought in the box), I carefully screwed it on the lens to check fit and then proceeded to try to remove the filter. It was a no go. It would not come off. Successive attempts over the next several days to remove the filter were a no go as well.

I ordered the Japan Hobby Super Lens Filter Wrench because it wasn't cheap plastic like so many of the others. It was a good thing I did. Significant pressure had to be applied to the wrench handles to grip and turn the filter which had intents of becoming a permanent part of the lens. Once removed I examined the threads to see if cross threading had occurred, and there was no damage. The filter just was the tightest fit I had ever seen.

Bottom line.... this is the one to buy!

The wrenches gently grab and allow you to unscrew a stuck lens. The interior is a rough rubber, which grabs and puts even pressure on the lens which would avoid cracking.

I had a stepdown ring stuck on my $400 Peter McKinnon variable ND. I tried everything suggested on the web to get this thing off and nothing worked. I found and ordered this and received it a few days later. Couldn't wait to try it and it spun it right off with no damage to anything!!!

The rubber really helps to grab and assist on removing the filter from lens.

The wrenches are well constructed and should last several family generations.

I purchased these because a pair of weaker plastic wrenches could not grip my thin filters when they were stacked with a step-up ring.

Now I get a solid grab to separate the two. Wish I had purchased these in the first place instead of the cheaper wrenches.
