Equipped with tally and talk-back functionalities, the Ghost-Eye Wireless 800TC ENG Video Receiver with a V-mount battery plate from CINEGEARS is suitable for receiving uncompressed, 1080p60, 10-bit, 4:2:2 video up to 2625' away.

The 800TC ENG receiver is cross-compatible with any Ghost-Eye 800TC transmitter. Whether in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration, your HDMI or SDI signal is carried with a low-latency rate of less than 1 ms over the license-free 5 GHz frequency band. The set is also capable of HDMI/SDI cross conversion via its HDMI and SDI ports.

Small obstacles in the line of sight are compensated for by an adaptive signal logarithm keeping your signal connected. For safety, signals dropped due to interference or loss of line of sight are automatically relinked within 1 ms of the obstacle being removed. Other features of the receiver are the optional AES-128 signal encryption and timecode support.

The tally light on the 800TC ENG receiver indicates when the camera is on the air, while the talkback feature on the transmitter end allows the camera operator to give heads up to the director. Combined with a video splitter, the 800TC ENG receiver can be used to trigger the record function on an external recorder. The transmitter features a V-mount battery plate attached on the back.

Q: 1. When utilizing the 3G-SDI and HDMI I/O and Cross Conversion is the audio feed brought over as well. EG: Can I output Video/Audio from my camera's SDI and watch/listen to it on my HDMI monitor?

A: Yes, the audio should travel as well when cross converting with this product.

Q: 2. Can this mount to the Movi Pro pop and lock system?

A: That is possible. The FREEFLY Pop-N-Lock Quick Release System, B&H # FR91000205, has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8" threads to attach accessories. You would just need to use something like a 1/4"-20 to 1/4"20 Spigot or articulating arm to connect this to the Pop-N-Lock. 1/4"-20 Spigot - https://bhpho.to/2jdVltE E-Image Mini Arm with 1/4"-20 Studs - https://bhpho.to/2WODQn7

I have been using the Mars 4K quite often primarily for the app capability. By having this daisy-chained off my AC monitor I can now have our Gaffer, Director, Art, and so on hook into the app and not give out a ton of monitors. On top of this, the form factor has been great for rigging!

I use it often and have people rent it, so I grabbed another one so I can be prepared. I genuinely love what Hollyland is doing with their gear.

Solid, good build quality. Linking them is super easy and stable. Having the HollyLive app is nice so you can have an iPad as a set monitor or what Not. One downside is that if you have HDMI in to the transmitter, you have to have an HDMI out of the receiver. It would be nice to have the ability to have HDMI into the transmitter and SDI out of the receiver. Really that's the only feature it's missing. Over I would recommend for a cheaper yet still solid wireless transmitter.

This is just awesome. I chose the 4K version and was a bit skeptical, however, the Mars 4K didn't disappoint. Worked right out of the box.
I could preview it on a monitor, I tried the TV and iPad too. Everything worked well together. I did not test the range, but it works well in my studio and on the TV in the next room in 4K.
Just a heads up, if you have an older TV is 1080p, it might not recognise the 4K signal and display 'no signal'. When I switched to 1080p recodring on camera, it worked on that screen too. Just FYI.

I have had great success with Hollyland units. This is my third model and they just get better.

I think that the range depends on your environment. Whether or not there's a ton of other wifi / RF devices or not will ultimately be the biggest factor. Obviously test ahead of time if the environment is tough.

Otherwise, everything works great and as advertised. The app is great too, very good option for a director's view.

If you're looking for a 4K tx with great features, build quality and reliable you have found it. The company I work at mainly use teradek brand but have used this for roaming cams. I purchased this for my own personal use and previously used the Hollyland mars 400s pro for 1080p transmission. I was impressed by its performance so much and wanted to upgrade to 4K.

Pros
- I love the metal build quality. Buttons felt tactile and responsive. Even the feel of the power switch feels premium.
- I like these Antennas over the thinner ones from the 400s pro and they provide 450 feet of range I believe.
- Many options to power the device (screw dc cable, npf battery or usb-c)
- wireless transmission to iOS and Android devices
- The wireless feed is very smooth and has accurate colors

Cons
- At the time of using the wireless with an iPhone I was not able to import my own custom luts even though it is advertised. I tried it on an iPad and was able to import. I'm sure it will be updated soon
- There is a very slight lag since there is a .06 latency but not too bad. I might not use it for situations where a focus puller it required. Other than that I've used it without issue in live events.
- Only way to transmit a 4K feed is through hdmi which i use anyway. SDI port can only do 1080

Overall, this is another great product from Hollyland that I recommend if you're looking for a reliable transmission system for live events, small productions and situations that you need 4K. My favorite feature is being able to transmit to multiple devices fit example to the DP, camera operator, on a camera mounted on a gimbal etc. Now I will probably pick up the Mars M1 monitor that doubles as a transmitter!

I have many Hollyland products and really like what the company is putting out there. I already had a set of Tx/Rx but wanted to add just a transmitter to pair with my Mars M1 monitor (my favorite Hollyland product), and also for quick phone/tablet monitoring on smaller jobs.
The build quality is wonderful, it is affordable, and the company really stands behind their products. Highly recommended!
