I think this is the next big thing!

Coming from the old school legendary Canon XH-A1!!! , 5D2, 5D3, 5D4, 1DX2, C100 1&2, C300 1&2, GH4&5, and A7R2 & 3... Canon C200 is a beast!
4K Raw 12 bit is amazing! I wish it had dual Cfast 2.0 slots.
4K MP4 friendly(not that crazy Motion JPEG files with 5D4 and 1DX2) 8 bit is amazing too with dual slots!
Ergonomics! ISO/Gain, Iris, and shutter buttons are all there to control at the correct place!
Beautiful Bokeh with my 16-35 2.8 L II, 50 1.2 L, 85 1.2 L and 1.4 IS L :)
Amazing usable Low Light !
For all the GH5s, A7RIII people out there... You're not going to film in the dark at events? weddings? parties? models? "No". So Get a REAL CINEMA CAMERA not a wanna be GH5s or A7RIII that is really made for photos :) Lol:)
Go buy the C200 and be happy!!!!!!!!

This camera is really for someone comfortable with a raw workflow. The lack of other codecs to avoid transcode are a pain if that is what you need for the work you do. But. �The raw will soon be editable directly in Premiere and for now is useable right into DaVinci either for CC and conversion to PR444 or just get straight to cutting. �Image is excellent. DR excellent. Camera is lightweight. Battery life good and Auto Focus features top of the class. �So if you travel light, solo or minimal crew this camera produces an end result that looks way above it's price point. CFast cards are not cheap (yet) but 256GB give you 34 minutes each. �And for this type of image and workflow you are comparing more to something like Red which is pricier for the media and way bulkier a camera in use.

Love this camera because I can mount it on my Ronin M with no problems. This is definitely a workhorse camera but the only downside is the Tamron G series lenses currently do not work.

First of all, so many people are writing about the 4:2:2 gap and I do agree on that. But you can shoot in 4:4:4 12 Bit and always decode it in 4:2:2 or 4:2:0. And the image quality is unbelievable good. In 4K Raw it looks very cinematic and you can work pretty easy with the files in Premiere Pro. I was really surprised how the C200 handles video noise. It does really a great job on that and low light is also pretty good. I was upgrading from my 5D and I have to say the image is really clean and it‘s a great choice for an independent videographer. Due to the 4:2:2 gap and the fact that you cannot switch between many codec options, I think it‘s not intended for broadcast usage, but it‘s still usable.

Im a cinematographer who owns a small production company and specializes in shooting budgets ranging between 4K and 25K. I was hesitant because of all of the complaints regarding the 8bit codec and after purchasing the c200 and using it on a handful of shoots all i can say is.. dont knock it till you try it! This camera produces a beautiful 4k image when shooting Mp4's. The internal Raw feature is a game changer.. the footage is stunning and holds its own against much higher end cinema cameras. The auto focus system is the best ive ever used and i own sony cameras as well. Now a few things i dont like about the c200. The lowlight capability when shooting MP4 is decent but def not as good as the C100 Mark II.�
Anything over 3200 starts to get noisy where as the c100 could produce cleaner footage at much higher ISO's. So it struggles a little especially if your shooting in 60 with a higher shutter speed. Needless to say its still great in low light and blows the Ursa Mini & Red Raven out of the water in that area.�
I have a love hate affair with the touch screen monitor. Its built well but is a bit awkward to adjust and really doesnt fold up safely when transporting. I bought a small soft bag to slip over it for protection when its packed. Aside for those two minor things this camera is amazing. Perfect for doc style shooting as well as higher end projects and commercial work.
