The KC-80 3-Channel, Mixing Keyboard Amplifier from Roland features 50W output power, three line-input channels, a dedicated auxiliary input, and support for an XLR vocal mic. Paired with the built-in 10" woofer, the keyboard amplifier can be used by musicians and producers to amplify pianos, organs, synthesizers, rhythm machines, and other electronic instruments.

The KC-80's cabinet is a twin bass-reflex design that provides extended low-frequency response without distortion. There is an auxiliary channel with 1/8" and RCA inputs for connecting smartphones, music players, or other devices. Channel 1 also includes an XLR input, allowing you to plug in a vocal mic for even more versatility.

This keyboard amplifier integrates into many environments. A 1/4" line output enables you to interface with PA systems, stage monitors, and recording devices. There's also a sub-out jack for connecting to a powered subwoofer, with level tied to the amp's master volume for one-touch control. Plugging into the phones jack across the top of the unit, will mute the onboard speakers. This is suitable for private practice sessions and checking sounds on stage with headphones.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can this unit work on a tascam 2488 neo and if so what is the best way to connect it to the unit for the best results on all the channels?

A: The Behringer HA8000 can be connected to the Tascam 2488 NEO. The MONITOR OUTPUT would be the proper way to connect the unit.

Q: 2. I want to use it to play hpd 16. Will it sound properly?

A: The Roland Mobile cube offers big and clean sound for its relatively small size. If you are looking for a portable speaker under $200, this is a great option; allowing you to plug in not only the HPD-16 drum machine, but also other electronic devices such as microphones, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, MP3 players- you name it!

Q: 3. are batteries rechargeable?

A: It doesn't come with batteries. You buy your own. It takes AA, so you could buy rechargeable if you wanted to. I have run mine only on electricity so far. I like the battery option, though.

Q: 4. What cable/adaptor do I need to connect a Ipod touch/ipad to the input to make changes using the Cube Kit?

A: You will need a stereo 3.5mm male to 1/4 female. Then a 1/4 guitar cable. Here is the B&H part number for the adapter for your phone to 1/4 B&H # PRCSMMSPF.You don't play through the phone like an i Rig. You plug the phone in the guitar input using the adapter I sent. Then download the EFX you want into the amp. Then you remove everything and plug in your guitar as usual and access the EFX Cube kit. Q: 5. Well my acoustic guitar work with this amp. LAG tramotane?

A: The Roland CUBE-10GX is a good amplifier for acoustic guitars.

Q: 6. can i use this speaker with a turnable vinyl system?

A: Probably not directly. The Roland CM-30 does not have phono inputs. You would need to purchase a separate phono pre-amp to put between the turntable and Roland. This would convert the very weak turntable phono output into a line-level signal that you could plug into the aux inputs on the Roland. The exception would be if your turntable has a built-in phono pre-amp so that it puts out a line-level signal (which I believe would be the case if it has USB outputs), but this would be uncommon.

Q: 7. What kind of AC adapter does this require?

A: Roland PSB-1U - AC Power Adapter B&H # ROPSB120

Q: 8. On the specs for the X-keys XK-80 USB Programmable Keyboard, it says that MAC OS only goes up to OS 10.8. Is that true? Nothing beyond 10.8???

A: The latest release of ControllerMate is compatible with macOS 10.12 Sierra and macOS 10.13 High SierraPrevious versions can be downloaded for older versions of macOS.

Q: 9. I'm looking for something that will allow me to connect multiple speaker types to my mixer to monitor music productions from different speakers. I need to send audio out from the main mix on my mixer to powered studio monitors, and non powered PA speakers (the audio would go into the built in mixer that acts as the amp for the speakers and go to the speakers from there) as well as running to a stereo amp unit (connects with RCA type audio connectors, so would run 1/4 to RCA cable) that is running subwoofers? I have been warned that running powered sound into powered speakers can be bad, so that is why I am wondering if this would be a good solution for my usage. Thanks!

A: I have this unit and it works great for the intended purpose, but I don't think I would want to use it for what you have described. It probably could do the job, but it sounds as if you need a good mixer instead. All my mixers have had monitor outputs, main outputs, and an RCA line-level output for recording (often labelled tape ). It sounds as if all your needs could be met by a decent mixer with a full compliment of outputs.

Q: 10. Any customs duties included

A: The Roland Mobile Cube presently sells for $179 USD. Any additional fees such as duties, tax, and VAT are not included in this price.
